//The prime minister has issued a stark warning to MPs that failure to back her plan for Brexit would risk the UK not leaving the EU at all.//

A stark warning? One could be forgiven for thinking she’s worried about flouting the democratic will of the people. Nigel Farage, speaking on ‘The Wright Stuff’ a couple of days ago, said that delaying tactics could be employed until the eleventh hour when Article 50 would be suspended. Is the real end plan coming to fruition? I think so.

Well, you must have missed some. It's all there.
Again, how can remain voters influence anything?
Not remain voters ZM. Remain MP's.
Fine, but that isn't what people were saying on page 6.
Writing about brexit on a forum is not influencing Government policy. It is just a counter opinion. Expressing concern is not undermining anything. It is just someones point of view, and is a valid contribution to the national debate.
Talk of traitors and being to blame when the useless Government gets it wrong is disingenuous.

Remain voters have been influential. Gina Miller started the ball rolling, the media picked it up, and the Remainers have been hooting and hollering and dragging their bottom lips on the ground and spreading scaremongering tales of impending doom ever since. But now? Not me Guv!
Ah. They've been expressing the wrong opinions.

Guilty as charged!
That’s the point isn’t it Naomi. The remain voters influence the remainer MPs and push them to a bad Brexit.

So yes it is remain voters as well. If all the remain voters had shut up. Had not had their demos. Had not shouted so loud we would have had Brexit by now. Because remainers MPs would have had no reason to be, well remainers.

Brexit happened because of the the leave voters and MPs but it is the remain voters and MPs who are making it so difficult.

I suppose we should be flattered to think that our slightly grumpy moods have had such a powerful influence on government policy.
// Remain voters have been influential. //

No they haven’t. Gina Miller tested the legality because it was ambiguous. We now have a a legal definition. She did not influence the Government. Most of the media is pro Brexit. Murdoch newspapers and tv, the Mail, Express, the Telegraph - all Leavers.
The general remain voting public may be vocal, but that is their right. But they have changed nothing.
That’s another point Jim. If the public had no effect then demos and protests wouldn’t happen. But they do happen because they do have an effect.

Every grumpy remainer, even the ones who only vent on forums such as this, have an effect. The grumpiness snowballs.

Krom, //Ah. They've been expressing the wrong opinions.

Insofar as they are overjoyed at the prospect of the principle of democracy being shamelessly abandoned, yes, they are guilty as charged.

Gromit, // Gina Miller tested the legality because it was ambiguous.//

Gina Miller tested the legality because she intended to do everything in her power to stop Brexit happening.

We set up the Department for Exiting the EU, and stacked it full of Leavers.
And 2 years later we are in this mess. Yes there is a monumental failure, but it is not the fault of those voters who opposed leaving.
Anyone who believes the remainers have influenced the brexit outcome are just looking for a scapegoat, rather than admit the Tory government have completely mishandled the whole thing.
VB?

Protests rarely result in a change of Government policy, and the anti-Brexit marches certainly didn’t.
Grumpiness does not snowball and change anything. It is just another side in a debate.
we have all admitted it's bee mis handled. As I said the other day, if you want something done don't appoint someone who is against it fundamentally because they will just fudge the issue. We should leave with no deal when A50 expires and stop all this pontificating. I don;t see why the remoaners think we must pay £squillions and tie ourselves in knots. Just leave using the TTT, 3 point plan: https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/News/Question1614260.html
