Horrific ,barbaric ritual . Not helping to promote multi-culturalism . In fact it's doing just the opposite.
Properly conducted halal slaughter should be no less humane than any other type of slaughter.
As for this story, there is as others say nothing to indicate any animals were slaughtered in this yard. There may well be an issue as to what then happened to it but I’d imagine most of it was eaten. It doesn’t say

You would say that, wouldn't you.
I'm sure this is properly conducted.

i stopped eating at the chain Subway because they only do halal, i prefer my animals to be stunned before slaughter, so i think that the practice of halal should be cast out, or every meat package labelled as such.
I did say ‘properly conducted’ including supposedly all meat sold in supermarkets. I am perfectly aware that not all Hal al slaughter confirms to this. But the point is worth making - and if we accept that it’s ok to slaughter animals in an industrial scale for meat then I’d suggest our occasional ascents to a certain moral higher ground are problematic at best.
A friend of mine has been buying goat carcasses for years and butchering them in his back garden for his own consumption. As far as I know it is not illegal.
emmie, all Halal meat sold by Subway HAS been stunned prior to slaughter.
Halal slaughter is supposed to include stunning when done for commercial sale. Really the only difference ought to be all religious stuff that gets done on the side.
In the quest for togetherness and multiculturalism, I wonder if they would cut up a pig for us, while they've got the necessary tools out?
Why don't you pop round and ask, AOG?
The Muslim chap at my Tesco happily chops up the pork chops, AOG.
Believe it or not, all Muslims are NOT the same.

I realise that, but the problem is, how do you know the difference?

I'm sorry to be so tardy in answering your question @ 14.25 .

I was making a point about halal as its obvious from the OP the subject was Muslim halal meat and not Jewish Kosher.

Both are as bad as each other and any form of killing an animal that involves slaughter without stunning first should be banned.

Hope that clears up the matter for you.

Yeah, right.

I don't think so, because there are plenty on here who regularly have a 'GO' at me.
