Who'd like to join those like me in protest against Johnson's undemocratic behaviour?

The thing everyone on both sides seems to be losing sight of in the wild clamour to have their own way is that each and every person has a right, and in fact a duty, to do what they consider right for the country, and that includes Remainers. I still hold that leaving the EU will be catastrophic economically, socially and will lead to unprecendented hardship for...

I totally agree with 22.50 Naomi.
They still don't know what it means.

diddlydo, you don't have a clue.
And yet you call us thick.
Coming from Remainers talk of democracy, lies, and principles has to be a joke, no?
Naomi, it seems "democracy" means keeping the important people happy...
Indeed Pixie ... and they abhor lies - as with their impeccable principles they would - naturally.
Democracy seems to be about keeping remainers happy.

When you have to do something that is perhaps wrong because you have been forced into it who is to blame? Is it the one doing something they don’t want to or the one forcing them to do it?

If remainextremists within the government and elite had not forced BJ hand he wouldn’t have had to do it..... who’s fault is it?
If BJ is doing anything wrong, it is obviously his responsibility- but I don't see that he is. He has promised to get us out and hopefully, he will.
//Clearly only the brexiters have responded to this call to arms //

Wrong.
Does this look fitting,
Define meaning of "diddly doo": Not large enough to consider or notice. ; Small and of little importance.
Except that Democracy in this country is based in Parliament. So if you are cutting that out of the process then you're redefining Democracy from representative (as it has been for centuries) to direct (which it simply wasn't in this country before).

If you want to force Brexit through then vote the people who are blocking it, as you see it, out. But that way it wouldn't be forced through anyway, but achieved with the consent not only of the people but of their representatives.
We haven't cut them out of the process, though, Jim. They have been in charge of 3 years of pure faffing and trying to minimise the "leave" part. They are doing nothing but damage to businesses and the entire country, by making it seem we don't know what we want.
If he is legally entitled to shut them up for a bit and actually get on with what was voted for. Good for him. That's his job.
They already have the consent of the people, the majority of the people voted leave.
Don't know about civil unrest but I think Boris makes lots of people feel very uneasy.
That's not true, Pixie. Theresa May spent the first two years trying to keep Parliament out of it, and only failed because she tried to get the public to agree with her to shut Parliament out of the process -- and lost her majority in the attempt.
Yes... and the "representatives " should erm... represent.
Is lunch provided Diddly?
Maybe Jim. I am not at all convinced that May was a genuine leaver. Purely because she didn't do it. And seemed more interested in keeping as many ties as possible.
At the beginning of this, when Boris "disappeared", it was always obvious he would ride back in at the last minute. It's just a shame that nobody could be trusted up to then.
You get a free water cannon, ozzy :-)
Since Johnson hasn't indulged in anything undemocratic, quite the contrary in fact, that may be difficult.

But that aside, if you are keen to protest, well no democrats will. Those opposed to democracy might, and maybe it's good that they identify themselves.
