I feel you!!!
Due to some ludicrous lapse in concentration, I have managed to put five painkillers in my tab box instead of my anti-depressants!!
I thought something was off when I spontaneously burst into tears when Jo Biden started making his speech to his supporters - I was on my own fortunately.
Just about back on Planet Earth now, isn't medicine wonderful!!!
Thanx Pix,Im usually v erratic and I have a form of bipolar.Ive bn written off stacks of times and me support workers have had to help several times to explain to police, etc
I recently moved house but still live in Leeds. One of my support workers told me at length abt how women were terrified and hated being out in both day and night.Shes a great support to me and some other women who lead chaotic lifestyles.

I remember the news reporting that at the time - and I also remember there was a free phone number where you could ring and hear the 'Wearside Jack' tape - it was chilling because we all thought that was actually the killer.
I know people born later will wonder why Sutcliffe's death is such big news, but as we know, it was a massive deal at the time.
Andy,I cant imagine wot went thru the mind of women (and men) at the time.I also cant believe the attitudes of the police towards sex workers then and to some extent now.
I lived near Bradford and had a couple of girlfriends at the time (not at the same time before anyone comments) and I always saw them home. It was strange times how one man could put fear into thousands. The police were inefficient in their investigations which may have resulted in more deaths than there should have been.
The guy (John Humble) who made and sent the hoax tape to the police should, imho, have been sentenced to much longer. Yes, George Oldfield ought not to have been totally taken in by the hoax, but as soon as it became apparent that the police investigations were almost solely centred on 'Wearside Jack', Humble should have found some way of 'fessing up' to having written the letter as a hoax.
John Humble, who sent the tapes that convinced the police they were searching for someone with a Wearside accent, had a huge part to play in how Sutcliffe was able to continue murdering women. Even though Sutcliffe was interviewed NINE times the police were convinced it was not him because he had a Yorkshire accent.
Humble was eventually caught through DNA on the envelopes he had sent and was sentenced to 8 years in prison, released after serving 4. He died last year.

Ken,altho an unwelcome distraction Humble cant be blamed for the polices many failings in their investigations.Oldfield and co failed to sufficiently keep an open mind.
