It shows just how twisted the world has become when a compliment is seen as derogatory.

I don't think there's much between any of these miserable groups now. They're all 'woke'. Interestingly, I looked at her charity's website just to see if they support men who identify as women competing in women's sporting events. it's a bit vague but as I suspected it seems they do. The 'right on' put me right off.
Pixie, it’s not complaining about others complaining - it’s complaining about the impact those complaints are likely to have. The woke can complain all they like as long as they don’t expect the rest of the world to pander to their misery. The problem is though, not only do they expect it - they demand it - and so we have people like Boris Becker apologising for making an innocent comment.
Just replied, and it disappeared.
I don't believe this is the full issue that people are responding to. Just a one-off, harmless tiny example. I'm not even saying I disagree with you- just that I can see what they are wanting to achieve.
Anyone with the vaguest awareness, will know that a lot of women, especially currently, are trying to reduce sexual harassment, violence, discrimination. Which always starts by addressing mindsets. For a professional man, to openly- and actually speak it- ogle a woman and assess her appearance out loud, on air... you really would think he should realise it's not professional, relevant or complimentary.
This happens all the time, everywhere- and I suspect that's what people are getting fed up with.

I'm not even sure it's about that, jno. I think some people genuinely believe that one day, men and women, humans, will no longer be allowed to compliment, flirt, banter, tease find each other attractive lol. Where it's more just about respect and if that stops you approaching people, you were doing it wrong anyway.
You're totally misunderstanding, doug. It isn't about individuals knowing or getting to know each other in a mutual way. Only about non-consensual public behaviour.
You must also have noticed, in spite of make-up, that women also alter the ways they dress, times and places they go out, the company they are with, carrying carkeys, personal safety- as a normal and daily part of their lives - to try to avoid stranger attention.
At what point, are men translating that to- she really wants my input?
