I'm certainly no fan of BoJo but even I've noticed that we have phones, email and video conferencing available to politicians these days, meaning that the PM can respond just as readily to anything needing his urgent attention in Marbella as he can in London.

I also note that the House Of Commons doesn't return from recess until a week tomorrow, so Boris won't need to be present for PMQs until the 20th of this month. If he's going to take a holiday, this seems to be a good time to do it.
