Inchy, it was said to you yesterday by Tora that there’d be no more exchanges with you,so why even go there? As for you insulting me , shows the caliber of you and it certainly doesn’t have any effect on me

Do you think that perhaps he was surrounded by people trying to help him? That would explain why the CCTV is only of one person, not several?

Certainly a theory.

From you link in the OP.
// Hitesh Patel, 62, a shop owner at Greenford station told the Evening Standard that the Mr O'Halloran, who he says was a father-of-three, would often play the accordion on his mobility scooter outside Tesco [on Western Avenue] and the train station to raise money for Ukraine victims. //

Have you got some stats newer than a decade old?
From the Met police I have:
Of the 1,069 stop and searches conducted between January 2022 and May 2022, 258 (24.13%) had a police outcome, and 811 (75.87%) had no further action taken. For (0%), the outcome was not collected.
How many stop and searches were done in 2012 and what was the success rate back then (ie. action taken)?

When ¾ of stop and searches result in no further action being taken I think it really does matter.
Also - it’s important to know whether figures for S&S are substantially higher or lower than they were 10 years ago. If the move to restrict searches was abandoned then the figures from a decade ago are moot surely?

Khan wasn’t Mayor in 2012, Boris was.
Khan was elected in 2016, and INCREASED stop and search.

Thanks Gromit.
However the stats I've found reveal that there's been a steady fall in S&S from when Johnson was mayor to today.

It still bothers me that the murder of two elderly sisters whom I knew very well has not been solved. They were murdered for no apparent reason in 1987 and I often think of them.

Totally understand you point (growth!)
Are you saying that a 1 in 4 chance of something working out (eg 1 in 4 S&Ss result in further action) is not a good rate?
If you went to your doctor who prescribed medication that only had a one in four chance of working, you may think “Those odds are rubbish”.
I tend to agree - if the proportion was a decently high number that’d be thing, but a 25% ‘hit rate’ is very poor.
