I think that the lady was asking where her family originated from. I think that is a genuine question, maybe not the time nor the place but it is hardly a major issue.

That doesn't mean that Lady Hussey may not have 'form' either, only that she has the protection of the Queen and the palace behind her.

The palace, and its staff, should surely be showing an example to the 'lower orders', not providing 'form' in their own right.

Why won't you accept that because something may not have been advised to the wider world, does not automatically mean that it cannot possibly have happened.
