I think that the lady was asking where her family originated from. I think that is a genuine question, maybe not the time nor the place but it is hardly a major issue.

naomi - // ‘Touchy’ is one word for her, atheist. There are others. //

You're doing it again - making the victim the culprit.

She wasn't.

I am happy to concede that she has not handled the aftermath at all well, but let's not lose sight of the fact that she was put in the situation by someone ostensibly there to welcome her and make her feel at home.
Naomi; yes but I try not to use ruder words either here or in relation to the black lady.
Or indeed to anyone, I hope, atheist.

some don't like facts, sista's have blm support, and (only for black people) who's racist, erm so only blacks women get abused or the normal help systems do not work for black women ie charities, or is it just exclusive ie were different and want to be different, wear our colours..what ever from hedley lammar, inclusivity mmm
Fender - I'm sure that made sense in your head when you were thinking about it ...
Question Author
ah it does, and will continue to do so, all i see is virtue signaling, and the megain bandwagon..perfect timing, apart from the sista's blm money..
Fender - Although the charity was founded to offer support to black women who may not have been able to source support elsewhere, there is no evidence that the charity would turn away a non-black woman that approached it - that is an assumption that you and others are happy to make, to tie in with your hostile agenda.

Similarly, the charity will, like any charity, take any and all support it can get, but you and others are happy to condemn it for potentially receiving support from an organisation of which you don't approve.

Don't let your tutting give you a dry mouth will you

AH, regular charities that support women who have been abused support all women. They are not colour specific. If fender does have an ‘agenda’ as you say, it’s factual rather than hostile.
You would imagine that before the palace invited any particular charity to the reception they would have carried out some form of vetting and approval.
Naomi - As I pointed out, no-one knows if the charity is 'colour specific' but if you want to add that to the list of reasons why Ms Fulani is not deserving of yours and others' understanding for the rudeness she received, you trot right along.
Question Author
ah, the charity should not have a colour bar, who is setting a division an exclusion, us them remember diversity goes both ways.
Perseverer, it’s a bona fide registered charity. That would qualify it to receive an invitation.
The charity is dedicated to supporting women and girls of African/Caribbean heritage.
Ouch!
This whole controversy is driven by an agenda and of course the usual suspects are jumping all over it.

I've nicked that ^ off a black woman posting on Twitter but it also works on Answerbank.
Dreadful! Why is none of this being heard in the more public spaces like TV and radio?
I'm very, very disappointed in Prince William and his readiness to condemn Lady Hussey.
Don’t be, jourdain. He didn’t condemn ‘her’ - he condemned racism. There’s a difference.

I am genuinely mistified as to what exactly it is that is motivating your rampant hostility towards this woman.

Seventy-two hours ago, no-one had even heard of her, and now you, Khandro, Naomi, and others are positively salivating over any little scrap of information that shows her in a negative light.

Why on earth are you all so gleefully pulling her to pieces post after post?

A couple of says ago she was a nine-day-wonder on the receiving end of some rudeness from an out-of-touch courtier.

Now you are all intent on painting her as the devil walking the earth, as though you are on some sort of mission to share your vitriol until everyone derides her like you all do.

Clearly Ms Fulani is not blameless in life, who on earth is - but let's remember, she came to our attention as a victim of appalling rudeness at a royal function at which she was an invited guest.

Now, there is a cabal of AB'ers determined not to rest until she is led out onto the Mall and shot.

I think your approach says far more about all of you, and your gleeful desire to damage the name of someone you hadn't heard of three days ago.

I genuinely don;t understand what drives you all to behave like this, I'm not sure I would really want to look any further into your minds to find out.
