Four By-Elections Looming Ahead.
The odds are that the Tories will lose every single one of them.
With the Boris Pantomime , the disastrous outcome of Brexit, the worst fall in living standards in a generation. High food prices, crippling energy bills, high fuel prices. Mortgage repayments going sky high, and the Economy stagnating .Why would you ever want to vote Tory again in your lifetime.

"That's spin. The electorate hasn't chucked him out." First of all, you really need to work on your policy of non- engagement. Secondly, it isn't spin: there is nothing Parliament can do that forces an MP out. Suspension is temporary. If the electorate were on Johnson's side then he would have had the perfect opportunity to prove this by, first, testing the...

// Yes, he resigned because of events in parliament. Nothing to do with his popularity - or lack of it - with the electorate. //
This is spin. Events in Parliament didn't force him to resign -- he would have been suspended for somewhere between 30 and 90 days, but would have been able to return afterwards.
As for the by-election, he would have been perfectly able to contest it, at the very least as an independent candidate (and, if the local Tory party had their way, probably as a Conservative again). Why did he not, if his popularity is apparently not an issue?
Indeed, his campaign almost writes itself, doesn't it? Brexit, Covid, Ukraine, the three triumphs he keeps going on about; and, now, the conspiracy to get rid of Johnson personally. "They still aren't listening." Easy win, if he was still popular locally.

He was ousted from his position as PM partly because his cabinet and MPs were sick of being wheeled out to support what turned out later to be lies.
Also because it was clear he'd lost the support of the public and had become an electoral liability.
He ousted himself from his job as MP because he didn't want to face the humiliation of being given a suspension, or other punishment as a serving MP.
