So England's wicket keeper has found the need to announce that he is gay, does that mean the others will now have to announce they are heterosexual?

In the scheme of things why do homosexuals think it is so important to announce their sexuality to all and sundry?

/// He said he could no longer bear to lie about his sexuality. ///

/// "I'm comfortable with who I am - and happy to say who I am in public," ///

/// I feel it is right to be out in the open about my sexuality. If more people do it, the more acceptable it will become. That must be a good thing. ///

Do they think that they are that important, and that anyone is at all interested in their sexuality? I know that I am not.

Jeeze and there are 2 bigots - nasty nasty persons

certainly voiced your disinterest on here today!! //

In your mind must we all have an intrest in someones sordid sex life to be nice. This story should have never made the front page of the Telegraph or any other decent paper

Put your nasty nasty were the son never shines
Where, typo
reefer

perhaps you should ask the editorial team at the Telegraph.

Seriously. Presumably they judge there is 'public interest'. It may be interesting to see how they gauge and understand that.
and sun , that is trying to type the answer out quickly
So we made 124 thats gorra be a record what you reckon guys?
I think we should have a poll Phobics V Philes.
reefer, he's only said he's gay, at no point has he mentioned what 'sordid' things turn him on!
I never realised cricket was so interesting..........
"return to the closets from whence you came"

Now, we can't have that sort of language on here.

You see ...

"whence" means "from where" or "from which source".

So, you should simply say ...

"return to the closets whence you came"

I'm glad we've got that sorted out.

reefer, he's only said he's gay//

So why should that make front page news,
It's good to see linguistic standards being upheld. ^^^
"at no point has he mentioned what 'sordid' things turn him on"

So, he sleeps with guys.

That's not inherently sordid.

I mean, girls are more sensitive with each other, but guys have their place sometimes.
I didn't say it should be front page news, I'd agree it shouldn't be, but I'd say further that what turns him on didn't even come into the equation!
It's said the Queen Victoria refused to sign a bill criminalising Sapphic acts because she just didn't believe that they ever took place.
Yes, and you've certainly given us YOUR opinion, haven't you redhelen - because according to you nobody else should have one. And before ANYBODY asks me why i'm being like this, look at her comment on page one of this post about me -
quote redhelen:

"Mercia - I hate to sound like a biatch but this was the same complaint that you used to get with your daily menu's but you expected everybody else to suck it up!

For me - I am glad that we have evolved that he feels comfortable to 'come out' "
unquote.
... or because she was a secret lezzer.

Oh, hang on ... I can't say that, can I ?

I mean ... she was a woman in comfortable shoes, LOL LOL LOL

If it was Adam and Steve in the garden and not Eve i wonder how things would have turned out.
Adam and Steve ?

So ... one more snake, then ?

=0)
We'd all still be there. Neither of them would have had a nibble at that apple.
