Aaargh indeed! Puccini it ain't!
Don't know Starman. I'm lounging in subdued lamplight in front of a lovely log fire with a glass or three of red, and my laptop, and my 'funny' emails don't show on here. I'll let you know in the morning when I'm in my serious study.
In between reading Keyplus's recommended book (a very slow process .......... yawn....) I'm re-reading the final Harry Potter, and that's who I'm going to bed with now.
(Bit quiet in the sanctuary lately innit).
Beautiful dreams. Night. x

Ha! How could I ever hope to compete with HP?
Oh no, don't you worry your pretty little head none on my account. I'm no newcomer to being victimised by and neglected in favour of the worship of fantasy. This doesnt inflame my jealousy not one tiny bit. I know full well the true nature of my adversary . . .

Starman, oh woe is you .... and petulant too. The true nature of your adversary is interesting indeed - and for me is a welcome diversion when my everyday world becomes rather too hectic for me. Now, (at the risk of hurting his feelings), I have to say that what you fail to appreciate is that Harry commands a maximum of 5 minutes of my attention in bed before the zeds take over. zzzzzzzzzzzzz (Despite his wizardry, the greatest lover in the world he is not!).
To you, however, I would wish to give no less than my undivided attention for a somewhat more prolonged period of time. Unfortunately, right now, my attention is very much divided. In short - my brain hurts - and there is nothing I can do to fix it! Only time will do that. There is too much cramming in - so much in fact, that I'm convinced that some of it is spilling out of my ears and is lost forever!
Thanks for the link. Isn't that incredible?! I haven't read everything on that website, but I will. I find it absolutely fascinating. What planet are these people on? Mad as hatters!
Harry awaits! Goodnight - mwah! x

Ha! I suppose you think that's funny, Starman! Don'tcha think I feel bad enough? I don't have time to think clearly about a proper response, so you make me feel guilty, and then just to make things worse, you visit me in a dream! Yes, there you were - 6ft 8in tall, slim, smelling wonderfully clean and fresh and of expensive after shave, 45ish, dark business suit, white shirt, silk tie, with a large cranium supporting a smidgeon of dark hair (the majority presumably having been forced out by the hugely brilliant brain the head contained).
'Would you like to come out to dinner?', you said, peering down at me. 'Yes, thank you', I said, so we went to a very good restaurant and ordered huge prawns. 'What's your real name', I said, gazing up to the 6ft 8in and cricking my neck in the process. You looked down at me rather suspiciously, and then said 'Dick'. 'Dick is my real name'. I said 'Is it Richard?', and you said 'No, it's Dick'. Then the table began to expand, and people came - lots of people - and all from AB - and before I knew it they were all seated between us, and talking nonsense and screeching and laughing noisily - and you ended up on the opposite side of the (by this time) enormous table, and we couldn't speak any more.
See! I must be feeling guilty! Shame on you!

Naomi, Five minutes? Hmmm . . . I should hope I could compete with that. But who am I kidding. Even with so much demanding your time and me enjoying a brief period of relative leisure I am unable to keep up with you. As for relief of pain in the brain . . . not my specialty as Im sure you can attest. As my time is now quickly drawing in on me, dream interpretation will have to wait.
I do appreciate you having extended the courtesy and the demonstration of your apparent regard for my feelings in informing me of your current (and hopefully impermanent) circumstances. I respect and expect you to look out first for numero uno fully aware that in the courtesy department I owe you at a minimum all the patience required of anticipating our next rendezvous . . . whenever I should be so fortunate.
While a collaborative effort is sought for resolving the problems you're having with several of my other links I must confess, you are not missing out on anything of earth-shattering importance. I would not presume at this point in our relationship the necessity to reassure you that I do not wish to disturb your focus on whatever it is that I am confident deserves your full undivided attention but I am looking forward to the time when I am once again privileged to enjoy having your gaze turned in my direction.

My psychic inabilities preclude me from speculating about the actual nature of my competition with regards to that which diverts your attention away from the realm of our mutual interests and enterprises, but I suspect that with such knowledge I might well realise my good fortune at having in this case been excluded. And so it is with great cowardice, in trepidation and fear that I offer what little I am prepared to risk in the way of a helping HAND
Starman, I like the helping hand. Isn't that nice? Thank you.
There's nothing wrong. I'm simply going through a week where the demands on my time, my abilities, and my resources, have overwhelmed me to such a degree that I am unable to devote more than a few seconds here and there to myself - and I find it impossible to discuss the things I want to discuss under those circumstances. My brain doesn't function that way. I just can't formulate my thoughts on the finer things in life when so much else is being crammed into my head from outside. Everything seems to have come at once - and it's coming from all directions. I'm getting really good at juggling, you know - and I haven't dropped the balls once! Maybe I ought to take up a new career in a circus.
Now for the good news. Early this morning before the phone started to ring, and before anyone started tugging at me, I sneaked into my study and answered your email. Yesssss! And I would be interested in your opinion please.

Good grief... Steamy dreams about his Mibness?! You are a saucy lass Naomi! ;0)
Elbow are not the best british band as I couldn't choose just one but they're certainly in the top ten. I saw them last night and they were just spectaculor they really well. They guys voice just needs no effort at all, it's brilliant.
I'm off our to buy foundation and lip gloss in a minute I think... Oh, and the food shopping too... Booooorrrring! :c)

Yves Saint Laurent volume one. I have my eyelashes dyed because I swim so it saves me time and money during the week. Clinique have a new one out which I'm told is the dogs proverbial but it depends what you're going for and I've not tried that. I did use Loriel (sp?) Architeque for quite a while and only stopped because I think I got used to it but don't have a bad word to say about it, great stuff.
Should I be jealous Starman is playing away? ;0)
