Can't see why you'd want to recant. Sounds about right to me. Peace .... perfect peace. (Well, almost).

Come on you there! Must try harder! Hup, two, three, four.

Naomi, If your egging me on may I request a new question to get me back on track? Between you and Theland my thoughts are a little jangled up in what direction to take at this point.
Starman, as if! I wouldn't egg you on - apart from in jest. Whatever you want to say - or not - is absolutely fine by me, so no questions, m'lud. I'm merely pointing out that you can't expect people to understand you if you don't allow them to get to know you. That's logical, isn't it?
Just to digress a little.
I had a text from Luna.
Said he couldn't post on AB anymore through personal problems.
I asked if that meant a bust computer or health problems, and, alas, he replied, health problems, but wouldn't expand.
So, if you're reading this Luna, please know that we are all here for you, and as you know, are all good listeners.
(We would have to be, wouldn't we, to put up with your singing and spoon concertos!)
However, Luna, I would give Mibs' right arm for a quick rendition of, "Little Stick Of Blackpool Rock," played on your domestic appliances, and sung in your unique alto style.
Two hundred years, it would have been a castrato style, so I bet you are thankful you were born in the 20th century!
Please come back soon, and post, or at least text or e mail me - your friends miss you.
Mibs - so much to reply to in your posts.
Will get back to you shortly - or even shorterly!
Oi, Theland, leave Luna's domestic appliances out of this. You can get so personal at times!

I hope you feel better soon, Luna. x
Incidentally, Theland, I hope you're going to answer my question.

I imagine the image of the Good Lord with a stiffy puts a whole new slant on things . . . wouldn't it?
Octavius's legal council is being dealt with and don't even ask about Zappy! (Bloody Ed could fight their way out of a paper bag... If you give them a seeing eye dog and some boxer gloves).

Perhaps you did beg for it enough... I could suggest not being such an enigma but then, I only ever thought you were til you explained yourself...... Ok, ok... Simply put, why should anyone trust anyone? Everything is subjective, nothing is without intent (no matter how well meaning) and frankly I wouldn't want to trust anyone, it suits my nature. My upbringing was flawed, my personality is fundamentaly flawed and you expect me to rely on my own judgement to trust?

Are you ******g crazy?!

I'm not trained for it, geared for it, willing to learn or willing to attempt it. And I'm perfectly happy that way too... humans are too subjective. (However babies and animals trust me implictly, go figure!)
Oh good grief, Starman! Imagine having THAT on your wall. How very tasteful! Go beautifully with China's animal print cushions!

China, explain yourself if you please. What do you mean 'nothing is without intent'?

And Theland, will you please answer my question?

And Luna, hope you're feeling well enough to return to the fold soon.
Pretty much what it says on the tin... In a friendship/associate/anysort of relationship really... nothing is done without intention. It may be the purest, well meaning intention but still an intention. Doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
But surely the perceived intention is what makes the difference between trusting someone or not? Isn't our suspicion of someone's intention the reason we don't allow them into our lives - or conversely isn't it because we feel the intention is genuine the reason we trust someone?
No. The reason i don't trust is because I realise everyone has an intention - good or bad or in between - and their intentions may not be equal to my own and/or my judgement is just flawed enough to be worthy of doubt. I trust that most people are good people who don't want to hurt anyone. That's enough for me and I wouldn't want to take it any further.

Incidently, I keep getting error messages when I load this page... I hope it's not time to find a new house, we only just moved!
Unlike you, China, I don't trust that most people are good - I trust that most are untrustworthy. There are very few I would place my trust in. I don't like it, and I wish it didn't have to be so, but that's what experience of life has taught me.

Night everyone. x

Just what I like. A woman who doesn't care to waste time.

How about slipping this one into your favorites?

See you all there? ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ <o/ "\o>
Are we moving again, then?
Should I start packing?
I've just been watching a superb documentary about America's first tentative steps into space. What bravery and what hope there was - and what discovery awaited. I couldn't help thinking of the possibilities - if only man wasn't so utterly, utterly, stupid. Religion, wars, aggression, jealousy, suspicion, arrogance - what a ridiculous creature the human being is.

You can possibly tell that the thought of man's self-inflicted wasted potential has caused me some considerable frustration tonight - and that's the only thought I can leave you with. Depressing innit?!! Innit? Answers please - and not on a postcard!

Night. x
Man proud man, dressed in a little, brief authority, most ignorant of what he is most assured.

I always did like that one.

We may well have to set up elsewhere, I had to refresh the page again to get on but maybe Zappy's just being stropy. I'll keep an eye on him and if it remains a problem then I guess you'll find me on Mib's other link.

China, If you find the other thread consistently easier to access, I would consider that sufficient grounds for an official relocation announcement. Just say, 'the word' . . .
