The Club is now Open

Good evening all and welcome to our club.

I am sure the usual sumptuous array of drinks and nibbles will appear shortly.

Raffle contributions so far

Two under ripe bananas
A jar of Branston Pickle (sell by date June 1998)
A pair of long johns (salmon pink)
4 books of sudoku puzzles only some completed.

We are having trouble attracting speakers at the moment. Apparently the word is out on the 'circuit' that sometimes it can be rather damp here. Cannot think why.

Talking of ganders, we had a delightful day out this week and ended up at the Goose and Fox! Sampled the bitter and had an excellent lunch al fresco. I have never seen such a beautiful sky - a miracle of azure and ever-changing feather-patterned clouds. Easy to admire when flat on one's back.
Is that the new pagoda in the garde, I have been admiring that.
well they took a culture last week about my Kultur, suggested more aspartame and here I am......
A throbbing temple - really, milady? I have a chilly chapel, but the house has been empty for 10 days or so.
Oh dear did you flop bot then??
Well take is steady DT, small steps
"I seek constantly to improve my manners and graces, for they are the sugar to which all are attracted."

Og Mandino
“It is better to take many small steps in the right direction than to make a great leap forward only to stumble backward into the sugar (read AB translation of this word) pit.”

Chinese adage. (without the Mandarin Orange)
Ttfn, sit DT on the floor with that coffee, if he takes a funny turn he's sure to wobble off and crack his head on the buffet table. - I'm off for a week so I refuse to administer first aid.

Good evening, all :) what a nice atmosphere.

For the ruffle, I've brought...

A pair of (worn only once around the carpeted floor in the house) 6" heels - teal

A pot of anti wrinkle cream - too late for me.

A portrait of Red Rum

And a pot of invisible ink.
Shoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want the shoes, what size are they ????
Talk about me Lore ---- You have definitely been on the Rum if you are talking about a "ruffle"

Bloody Hypocrites!!!!!!
Question Author
Welcome, Lore and thank you for the prizes.

Dt, do calm down , dear, or we will have to 'take steps'
Try to write one of those japanese poems for us with 17 thingeys.
(Might keep him occupied for a bit).
Question Author
Where has the invisible ink gone ?
Sorry DT, I'm not a rum girl :p

Invisible ink...... :o/ I have no idea!

Mamya, they're a 6.
Hi Lore x DT, I think you will see that I mentioned the ruffle prizes before Lore ever did ☺ Those are not heels - they are 2 tread step ladders. Whatever happened to 'sensible shoes'? If I wore those, my bunions would have bunions, just like Victoria Beckham!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! so am I.

Oh DT, don't take offence, we love your foibles.
Question Author
DT writes verse now
And tells us of his knowledge
We hear with our eyes
DT - you can be Buttons tonight, this is turning out to be a version (of sorts) of Cinderella. I shall use all my theatrical talent and loads of make up to be one of the Ugly Sisters. Just use a lot of imagination everyone, I beg of you ;o)
Question Author
Are the princesses coming ? Beatrice and Eugenie ? what an honour.
Is that ^ more toilet-seat humour, milady?
