The Club is Now Open

Good evening and welcome to all our members.

I am delighted to be back to open up, but am sure that everything went well in my absence when Mamyalynne and the Butler were in charge.

There seems to be quite a lot of broken glass in the recycling bin, but what's the odd breakage between friends ...I'm sure it can be recouped via the wage cheques.

As usual , there will be a raffle later. My donations this week are:

a box of maple sugar candies
some Boston Tea-bags (salty flavour)
half a packet of chewing gum

I am sure that the usual delightful array of nibbles and tailcocks will arrive shortly.

Good evening Milady and welcome home,do hope the son and heir is well?
I suppose the yankee fiddler lass is still in situ – suppose I must move on and
Accept he has left his poor Nanny behind.
I bring apologies from ttfn who is still rambling around the Dorset area imbibing
The country air and more besides am sure.

I have once more laden the table with lots of delightful nibbles and have hot dogs
For later.
This week’s guest Tailcock ic Scutluxe* as having had a very social whirl of a week,
Did have some lovely liqueurs left over, all good stuff and will put a hop in your step.

For this week’s raffle

3,000 paper clips
Ball of string (red)
5 sheets brown paper

Last weeks non rofl to be discussed anon.
Dear Ladyalex, I am so sorry I have not been able to attend for a couple of weeks. I would like to offer a snapped shoe lace and a j-u-g-g-e-d hare for the raffle. Sorry I can't stop long this week either as the OH has decided to give the pub a miss tonight!
Question Author
Welcome, Mamya and didoatwork.

No apologies are necessary, didoat. Delighted to see you and your hare.

The fiddler is still there, Mamya, so I fear you must 'move on' as they say. The son-and-heir, who is in fine form, did pass on his best wishes, but I fear his heart lies with the fiddler.
Hope I win the brown paper...
Due to some oversight last week’s rofl did not take place, prizes were many and varied including:

Ginger wine/purple fringe/staples/light bulbs 6watt/Bubble wrap/envelopes/10 gallon hat/light sabre

From DTC
A plethora of rather whiffy sporting memorabilia.

I stored these in the downstairs vestibule and they are no longer there,
Maybe the Chauffeur moved them when he brought you home Milady ??
Question Author
May I have a Scutluxe*, please. They sound delightful and just the job.
Indeed, welcome back m'lady, good evening, Matron & guests.

I have for the rofl -

124 party balloons (pre-inflated)
A collection of wine corks
Some faster-than-light particles, though they are proving somewhat difficult to hold onto...

I shall begin with a Scutluxe* and then start to hide coats.
Question Author
I will investigate, Mamya.....the chauffeur tends to keep a low profile, but I will track him down and question him closely.
I suspect a car boot sale...
Allow me, m'lady - one Scutluxe...
Question Author
Good evening, Maj.
Thank you for the raffle prizes.
Don't let the chauffeur find the coats, he is under some suspicion of being a boot-saler.
Question Author
Thank you , Maj.
Gosh, these Scutluxe* s pack a bit of a punch, don't they ?
Very moreish, though.
Indeed, m'lady - have no fear, I shall ensure that all coats are extremely well hidden
^^He means that too.

We have had fun but also some incidents, hence the new padlocks and code for the portcullis.
Question Author
You're so reliable, Maj .
It was a great comfort to know that the house was being so well run in my absence.
One aims to please, m'lady

(matron, shhhh)
Question Author
Hm...we did have a bit of trouble with the codes etc.
lordalex was all for swimming the moat, but I managed to dissuade him and eventually we cracked it and got in...
Question Author
I hope there were no invasions from next door ?

I keep meaning to complain to the council about them.
"Swimming the moat", m'lady? While the ... are still, well...

A most fortunate escape on m'lord's part.
good evening milady and matron.

For tonights ruffle I can offer hald a packet of jammy dodgers without the jam
Good evening Miss alba - they would be plain biscuits then?

Please accept a Scutluxe while I hide your coat...
Question Author
Welcome, alba. How nice to see you again.
