Good evening all to our beautifully refurbished club.

Members are asked to be careful of our new paintwork and it would be appreciated if all animals could be restrained, preferably within a handbag or portmanteau.

The whiff of paint will soon fade, meanwhile, we must sympathise with the Queen who has to suffer this olfactory discomfort all the time.

half a bottle of white spirit

nungate - majestic wine sells in - leith perhaps is your closest.....warn you it is not cheap £25-30 but its so (in italics) good............ a good Scottish one is Blackwoods from Shetland..£17 to 20

Thanks DT, will give it a look out, there are two Waitrose stores in Edinburgh one of which is easier to get to than Majestic wine in Leith I will check that store to see if they stock it, come to think of of it there's a Majestic shop somewhere of Newington road as well ............
