Good evening Linkers. I'm slightly earlier than usual since Mrs gen2 is taking me out for a meal tonight. You probably also spotted that this is not your familiar Crofter opening the shrubbery gates since he is away for the weekend and has asked me to stand in once again and look after you lot.
The fame (or notoriety) of 'The Shrubbery' is spreading far and wide. Did you see that earlier this week someone posted this question (from the 'So and So' quiz).
39 ) Eldest of herd may be found singing in the shrubbery (3, 4, 4)
Try as I might, I just couldn't manage to fit our matriarch, Pauline, to those letters. Not much luck with fitting Strix either.
Now you tell me Kay! I would have stood in for Lindsey....wouldn't that have made the Vicar's Day!!! :-))
I would have been on my best behaviuor ..honestly!!!
I'm not sure I can better "Whispering Grass"
BUT sarumite (where he? No doubt cooking up some impossible links for the morn) and I will keep this tune in mind when dealing with the delightful ladies of the undergrowth!
That was a good choice Strix...but I can't imagine who you were thinking of....us Laydees (as Sarumite calls us) are just so sweet and innocent. We keep order in this shrubbery...and decorum!!!
The pictures didn't look like any of us!
Oh Pauline the vicar wouldn't have known what had hit him, but he can give as good as he gets.
Next time you come to stay we won't go to the Cathedral we will go to my church and you can meet him!!!!!!
You see Strix you have got me all wrong, I'm not like Poison Ivy, I have been lead astray by PW !!!!!!
Evening all I thought I'd pop in briefly and see how you all are. Can't stop long though - have to go up to see my uncle in Norlolk tomorrow to check that he is ok. Thats before I have to do the shopping. So I'll need a fairly early start (after the link games though).
My son and Daughter-in-law are in Edinburgh this weekend, for the Festival, Pauline. :-))
Just returned from celebrations. Pity I wasn't around earlier, or I would have nipped Strix's twee scottish musical offerings in the bud (if you'll parson the split infinitive).
I'll wean you over with a crossover track from Donnie Munro and Runrig.
Thanks for that gen2 .. but methinks a glass or two may have passed your lips this evening .. the unusual spelling errors have let the cat out of the bag!!
