Good evening all.
It has come to the attention of the Committee that the electricity bills for these premises have increased to enormous proportions. They are now electricity williams.
Consquently, they have asked that members ensure that all windows and doors are closed to prevent draughts and that all unnecessary lights are switched off.
Candles have been provided in various convenient locations, but members must provide their own matches.
The chimenea is no longer in use. Those wishing ciggy breaks must make their own arrangements with coals, shovels etc.
Tonight's raffle prizes, appropriately, include
a fleecy blanket (some dog hairs)
a hot water bottle cover (pink, knitted only one hole)
half a pair of blue bed socks
half a pair of orange bed socks
Any further prizes will be gratefully received.

talking of bar code. My friend was all excited, her daughter has finally met someone, (if you saw the daughter you would know why she was excited) she came home 'in love' with a barrister no less! She is over the moon. Mother is mentally ordering the dress, the reception, the hotel. Daughter comes home the next night, with the intended. My friend said he looked a bit young to be a professional and asked him which law firm he worked for, the lad said Costas. "Costas! but that is a coffee shop" she said. "Yes ma'am I am a barista" he said. I think the romance is cooling a little now.
