The Club is now Open.

Good evening all.

It has come to the attention of the Committee that the electricity bills for these premises have increased to enormous proportions. They are now electricity williams.
Consquently, they have asked that members ensure that all windows and doors are closed to prevent draughts and that all unnecessary lights are switched off.

Candles have been provided in various convenient locations, but members must provide their own matches.

The chimenea is no longer in use. Those wishing ciggy breaks must make their own arrangements with coals, shovels etc.

Tonight's raffle prizes, appropriately, include

a fleecy blanket (some dog hairs)
a hot water bottle cover (pink, knitted only one hole)
half a pair of blue bed socks
half a pair of orange bed socks

Any further prizes will be gratefully received.

Just passing by, I've been somewhere (I think) not sure where, now I think I'm here. I have a snorkel and some flippers for the raffle.
If I have a cig break I have a shovel, don't really know why. Boy, am I confused!!
Question Author
The confused are always welcome here, Miss Meg......but not the Bewildered.

DO we still have Uncle Joe, by the way, or have you got him at the moment ?
He's a bit slippery sometimes.
Met a 5 month border collie in the park today miss meg - looked just like your avatar - he was delightful!
Pru how are fixed for a borrow dear heart??

Evening Meg
It was quite a surprise, we haven't taken it in yet, we never expected to win anything. Maybe we will invest in a new kitchen, ours is rather small and we do love cooking. Prudentia xxxx
Question Author
It was you and Marjorie, then, not the CLub.....

<huff>
Hope you get a nice kitchen.
<sniff>
I am here! So sorry to keep you all waiting. Tis very cold out there - even the chimmuny thing has gone out. Anne dear, your shopping as requested, mamya -you're nuts (ahem). I have done a deal with the offy and have some lovely (if dated) donations for the ruffle - soup, apple pies, custard, and loads of muffins and crumpets - or - you could just heat and eat them now. I believe ruffle not done last week so there must be plenty left over. How are you all?
Question Author
So glad you are here at last, Ena.
Thanks for all the goodies. I'll leave it to Mamya to decide whether they can go in the larder or go for he raffle.
Thank goodness you're safe ttfn - we were getting worried. Thought maybe your Lambretta had run out of petrol
Lovely to be here (or anywhere) tonight milady. It is freezing out there - some frozen items floating in the moat - sort of like the film Cocoon but in reverse temperature if you get my drift!
Lardhelmet, that might have been me, hope you gave a nice stroke!!
Milady, haven't seen Unk for a while please remember he's your responsibility now.
could be poodis 1, 2 & 3 ttfn?
Question Author
I expect he's wandering around the place somewhere, Miss Meg.....or perhaps he's gone off to the Curling with lordalex. It's the big game today.....Indoor Grand Match, North against the South.

Did he used to like to sweep ?
Good evening I heard it on the grapevine about Prue sharing her winnings, at least that is what I think it was, either that or she's had her innings. At least I hope she can help us out with the Membership money this year.
Almost forgot, the raffle prizes 1 packet of Farleys Rusks, half a bottle of Wincarnis, and a bag of Winalot, I suppose Ladyalex will win the scales, but I could do with them. The moat is still rising milady, are the dinghy's inflated just in case.
Uncle Joe loved Sooty, he had a little hand puppet he talked to.
This lovely puppy was called Eddie, miss meg & he was with a really nice bloke.
hello Meg - how is your lovely 4 legs? Well I hope ♥ Hiya lardy - indded I believe you are right there on the body count. Lambretta? Excuse me - I have my trusty A30 out there! Windscreens are a bit small to peer through though. Mind you the doors aren't that big either. Still it does'nt need flashing indicators nor seat belts because of its age. I dont need them because of mine! boom boom
Question Author
I cannot remember where the dinghies are kept now. Where is alexanderd when we need him ? He was in the RAF, he will know about boats.
Yo ttfn how is your self, well I hopexx Struggling with 4 legged issues, just stood in a plate of finely chooped sausages. Rather they be in her tummy than on my feet. Will confine this subject to A&N.
Where is Alex?
btw I have glanced at minutes from last week and feel I should tell you that my windows at home are still in an uncleaned state. I would not recognise your window cleaner If I fell on him milady. I have enough trouble with ladders without the 'men' who come with them. And I thought alex was strictly Infantry - from the way he dances - superb on his feet he is
