The Club is now Open.

Good evening all.

It has come to the attention of the Committee that the electricity bills for these premises have increased to enormous proportions. They are now electricity williams.
Consquently, they have asked that members ensure that all windows and doors are closed to prevent draughts and that all unnecessary lights are switched off.

Candles have been provided in various convenient locations, but members must provide their own matches.

The chimenea is no longer in use. Those wishing ciggy breaks must make their own arrangements with coals, shovels etc.

Tonight's raffle prizes, appropriately, include

a fleecy blanket (some dog hairs)
a hot water bottle cover (pink, knitted only one hole)
half a pair of blue bed socks
half a pair of orange bed socks

Any further prizes will be gratefully received.

Hope Pru is planning to have an "I won the lottery party" very soon. Hope she lives near me!
I won £10 once - a long time ago mind. Didn't buy a lottery ticket though - you will just have to guess what I did to win it!
Oohh err, sounds like Marg will be spreading herself about tonight,

I won £6.40 on the Euromillions last week and I still haven't claimed it.
I'm sure we can guess ttfn. All I'm saying is that you were probably a cheap date :- o

Sorry to be away for so long...had to deal with a cat/mouse related incident in the upper kitchen.

Good night , Pru and Ena, what have they been saying about you ?
that I pay for (ahem) you know (this is a little delicate for me milady, please be patient) with a (ahem ahem) saxophonist. sniff sniff
Been out for a gasper, fell in moat, wish I hadn't given flippers and snorkel to raffle. Where are the claim forms?
Have you drawn the raffle yet lady A? Got my eye on the hot water bottle cover
Prudentia insists that I, almost reluctantly introduce myself to you all, so, ok, I am Marjorie (Stanhope). Prudentia has been a very close and lovely friend to me for very many years, from being her maid in the early years to becoming her lifelong companion, she is a most loving and caring person, sensitive and devoted, she really cares for people and has a truly remarkable ability of knowing the problems of people just by hearing or seeing their names. Marjorie Stanhope of Hassop
Just because I once entertained the whole of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra after a particularly wonderful performance! Hurumph. I liked the string section though the cello player was a little bow-legged. As for the wind section - well, rubber lips is all I can say. The timpanist was disappointing - small sticks and miniscule tom toms you see.

Well, good evening and welcome, MArjorie.
Are you sure that you are real ?...not just Prudentia pretending? Your names seem eerily similar.

Ena...I cannot believe that anyone would accuse you of paying a saxophonist to do that.
Question Author
Did you ?
Help was out fer a cig break and got lost due to no outdoor lighting, this economy drive will be the end of me
