Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin's of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

A'noon all...been a lovely bright 'n breezy morning here (turned showery now), the wind was biting but I managed to get two loads of washing done, dried, ironed where necessary and it's now airing on the airy thing....I'm totally boogered so I'm having a lazy-bung-it-in-the-oven dinner.

Shame Andy didn't win, he's a hell of a good player now.

KBO each.
afternoon each! Mr N surprised me with a trip to the centre of the island to see the famouse almond blossom in bloom, it covers the whole valley like a cloud, really beautiful, but lots of ramblers and walkers and bikers all seeing the same thing so we didn't stop for lunch as we knew it would be booked up, we found a delightful country bar and stopped for a beer only to find to our surprise that it was a huge restaurant ( hidden in different rooms, each with a blazing log fire) , but as we had already booked a paella elsewhere we couldn't stay but have got their number for another time. So we have eaten our paella and are now back home, just as the weather is clouding over, I've just had a big hot bath (a treat as I usually have a little one to save the water for others) and am snuggled in my bed as my chest is bad and I've promised Mr N that I'll get an appointment for tuesday. I am even wearing a crocheted summer short sleeved cardi as a bed jacket which I never ever thought I would wear in my life, but it is comfy.
Hello again all, Neti glad to hear that you are going back to the doc. We have finished sleeping and I am pottering around doing stuff and the boys are helping and bringing loads of fresh mud in. The washing machine is working overtime on muddy dog beds, towels and what have you.
Glad to hear you had a lovely lunch, etc. Neti, and glad that you are off to the docs on Tuesday too. We could go together to our Tuesday appointments. We drove from Wells to Sheringham down the coast road and in was lovely in the sunshine. Lots of people about and lots of twitchers because that area is famous for birdwatching. Managed a short walk along the prom at Sheringham, but felt sick after the car journey (part of my current problem). Then got a sort of panic attack so we didn't lunch out - came come instead. A feel a bit better now. The doctor is going to have his work cut out with me on Tuesday. All I want to eat these days is cheese on digestive biscuits!!!

Enjoy the rest of your lazy days all of you. See Mrs Robi has been industrious ! Washing and ironing, whatever next!!

Take care.

xx
Oh lottie, you poor thing, it must be awful, I usually have a panic attack if I don't get taken out for lunch!! Sounds like a lovely place to walk, although have heard that it is a bit wet in that area today! Did Meggie go with you? Got heartburn now, thanks to eating alioli and drinking wine, but have an urge for some blue cheese so will indulge later. Just watched Toy Story for want of something better and I really enjoyed it, now for Blandings or DOI!!

Robi! Ironing on a Sunday, never been heard of, sounds grim!
went on a tour of Shakespeare's London with Mr Loud American, very interesting, though I already knew more of it than I did about Kensington yesterday and it got a bit parky late on. Still, he pointed to the spot in the middle of the road where Shakespeare was once a lodger. Glad to see everyone is keeping warm with hot baths, hot dogs, hot ironing etc.
we went on a tour of Benidorm in the 80's with MR LOUD BRIT and all we got was "and here's a cheap place to eat" and "here are the best fish'n'chips", we gave up and toured on our own!!
Just eating my crackers with blue cheese, a cup of cpffee and several mixed biscuits for desert!!!
Oh dear just had a little weep at the "Midwife"!
Not wet here today at all Neti. Just lovely sunshine all day. It rained last night and the snow all melted and there is lots of water and some flooding, so perhaps that is the wet you meant!!

I had a sleep and have just eaten a packet of crisps and some chocolate. Mr LL cooked himself a rather nice looking risotto, but food is not my favourite thing at the moment.

I shall not like The Midwife so much without Chummy!! It was sad tonight. There is so much in it that takes me back to my childhood, such as the Goons and the Ying Tong song. I remember the whole family one Christmas at my Grandmothers singing along to it. I think they had all consumed a fair amount of the hard stuff.

Should be watching Brian Cox, but my brain isn't functioning and Mr LL is watching that Ripper type programme which is too gory for me.

Will say oight, oight. xx
We decided to get married whilst we in Benidorm, Neti. We were both completely inebriated and they almost threw us out of the restaurant in the early hours of the morning because we were the last one's in there. Up until that night, we weren't even an item as such, even though we were on holiday together!!! Those were the days.

Hope Hija is OK.

Oight, oight again.
El Grin go is watching Ripper street and switching to golf every few mins, would drive me mad.

Spain has a lot to answer for. We had been living together for 18months hated the thought of marriage, and then one day, probably due to an excessive intake of alcohol, we were sitting by the fountain in Es Cana and just agreed to marry, think it was more for the parents than us!

Yes that was the wet to which I was referring!

Am watching Mr Selfridge and nipping to Brian Cox occasionally!
We had free holidays and weekends abroad in those days Neti. He worked for an Airline. When we got married, I too worked for an Airline (a different one) so we got more opportunities for more freebies and we went all over the place. It's not like that these days. No more freebies or plane hopping!!
wasn't Clarksons or Freddie Laker was it?
He worked for Britannia Airways, me for Courtline (Clarksons). Courtline went bust! I was offered a job as a hostie but turned it down - ended up working for the ground ops manager and still got to fly to inspect outstations. Great time. He was the Aircraft Appearance Superintendant for Britannia Airways.
Old friend of ours was a Flight Engineer with Freddy Laker!!
Neti's gone to sleep!!

Oight oight again everybody.
Oight oight all
good morning, lively night last night as we had foxes in the neighbourhood, we all stayed in bed this morning but I needed coffee.
Morning all, I can't seem to weake up in the mornings anymore (but as long as I do eventually that is all that matters!)

Lottie I remember when Clarksons went bust over here, such a commotion as it seemed such a strong company. I hated flying, you wouldn't get me being a hostie.

Better get up now.

Hope you are all feeling well.
