In my opinion, only hanging murderers will make us safe from knife wielding thugs.
Two dead and two injured in Milton Keynes and one dead in Scarborough yesterday.
Hardly a day goes by without another stabbing murder.
Hanging the culprits would deter these scum.
What do you think?

The bible teaches that premeditated murder should be punished by death.
Sacrificing children to Molech meets that criteria.
Life is precious, and those who take it away should pay with their own.
What about the adulterers?
What about the person administers the fatal injection, Theland? Must be a freaky kind of doctor to do that.
Theland has already copped out of that Jo, I asked him a page or so back.
Question Author
Adultery is not a capital crime.

Injection? No, the rope.
I would expect doctors could, clover... they do it regularly in any case. I think the problem seems to be with the pharmaceutical companies, who don't want their drugs involved. Why they get the choice- I have no idea.
Rather than divert this thread to your usual attack on Theland and his faith why don't you get back on topic and address the question regarding the 'Death Penalty'. Should this innocent girl have died would you all still think this cowardly scum should still live. Her life is ruined. What life has she got to look forward to as a paraplegic whilst those who kill and maim will be walking free in my lifetime and this little girls?
If any of you had a child or Grand daughter/ son facing death in the crossfire and would not want this scum dead then I believe you are no better than the scum who have no regard for the life of the innocence.

12 and 14 years imprisonment is no punishment for the offenders. The prospect of the death penalty may have prevented her life sentence of being paralysed.

An executioner is an agent of the court, nothing freaky.
Adultery with a married woman is a capital offence in the Bible.
Question Author
Corby - Dig deeper. It is not.
Theland, I'm curious. Why the rope rather than a painless injection? Unless you want to inflict pain each serves the same purpose - but the end result is the same.
The rope should be painless and just as quick, although it does seem a bit more violent somehow.
PIXIE, if manufacturers choose not to sell their drugs to prison authorities, that is up to them, surely?
If we needed them for the death penalty... then they have to come from somewhere.
Pixie, it has to smart momentarily.
Leviticus 20:10

"And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death."
It may do, naomi. I suspect every option does. Even beheading someone means they can be conscious for a couple of minutes afterwards.
I just, irrationally maybe, see hanging as more primitive.

Pierrepoints book - from cell door opening to trap being sprung, 9 seconds.

Lethal injection up to half an hour.
We manage with animals though, I think they should be allowed to use the same method. Revenge and torture is not necessary.
Question Author
Corby - Yes, but the OT is super ended in the main by the NT.
