Signs Of Much Greater Importance
305 Answers
When Jesus Christ was on earth, he gave his listeners a lesson in observing signs and acting accordingly. He was talking about something of far-reaching importance. The Bible reports: “The Pharisees and Sadducees approached him and, to tempt him, they asked him to display to them a sign from heaven. In reply he said to them: ‘When evening falls you are accustomed to say, “It will be fair weather, for the sky is fire-red”; and at morning, “It will be wintry, rainy weather today, for the sky is fire-red, but gloomy-looking.” You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but the signs of the times you cannot interpret.’”—Matthew 16:1-3

Actually Jesus himself didn't speak of 'God', he said he was one with the "Father", & you are being disingenuous when you say how "interested" you are in the beliefs of others - in truth, all you want is to appear to be smart, isn't that the case?

Theland, a bit of C&P from last night but...
//He also said that Nebuchadnezzar would destroy Tyre (He didnt)
Nebuchadnezzar will conquer Egypt (He didnt)
The Nile will dry up (It didnt)
Egyptians will speak the language of Canaan (They didnt)//
Why do totally ignore this while continually trying asking questions that cant be answered at the present time...BY ANYONE?
And why do you continually ask questions in response to another question put to you?
1 Peter 3:15 doesnt say answer a question with another question does it?
Why do you ignore the FAILED prophecies of the Bible whilst banging on about the only one that had a chance of happening?

Tyre was destroyed. You can see the old site of the original settlement.
Anyway, what is this important to you?
Why is it important to wage war on Gld and believers?
Does it affect you?
Are you happier seeing our society moving away from absolute values to relative values, not what is right, but what you think?

No interest in scoring points whatsoever Theland.
Just asking you a few questions thats all
(like you ask questions)
If you choose to ignore your own Bible, thats your lookout, not mine. Why you choose to ignore the failed bible prophecies is again your lookout, not mine.
Why you choose to ignore 1 Peter 3:15 is again your lookout, not mine.
And why you choose to ignore posts that question your lookout is (you guessed it) your lookout!

When some people like Goodlife talk about Coronavirus
They speak as if it were a mysterious missionary
Who went out to buy milk or firelights and never
Came back, and it makes me AB nostalgic
For the years I lived on coffee and bread,
Hungry all the time, walking to work on payday
Like anyone journeying for water
From a village without a shop or open pub, then living
As I am now in so-called isolation
One or two nights like everyone else
On roast chicken and red wine
Cheers.

Nailit, you strike me as the type of agnostic, who is not sure about God, but derive comfort from whatever evidence disproves God and the bible.
This reinforces your own unbelief, and convinces you that you are somehow safe in not being alone.
Trying to trip me up so often just strengthens my view of view.
Otherwise, why would you spend so much time and energy on the subject?
No, it is not a simple interest in what makes believers tick. You and I both know that.

Theland, I don't think anyone is trying to trip you up. These are views and beliefs that you claim you have. I have only ever asked about your own thoughts... which requires no research whatsoever or asking other people first. I'm not testing you on facts, just asking what you think. But you often seem unwilling or unable to answer that even.
