Many persons know about God. They may live in communities where most citizens claim to believe that he exists. But does this mean that they really know God? Well, there is a difference in knowing about the ruler of the country where one lives and in having a personal acquaintance with him. So, too, with knowing God.

Elderman, I feel sorry for you. All you can do is cut and paste from other sites and offer us the same few tired phrases. You are wasting your time here. Please find another outlet for your energy and recognise that is you with the problem and not us.
I am pleased that, defacto, you recognise that you are moribund.

The argument is defunct as your perception of there being a God is in your abjectly sorry mind, not ours. Therefore your "logic" has no validity.
No doubt he'll be gone as soon as the Ed receives a copyright infringement complaint from one of the sites which he plagiarises...
Elderman, keep up the good work. I know that the combined forces of atheism, or at least those here in R&S, are formidable opponents. Be undaunted. They must heed your words to be able to frame replies and, who knows, someday one of them may see the sense of what you say.
@Sandy - nice one! encourage the troll to keep on posting. Your comment supposes there is any sense to be gained from eldermans posts, and that his twisted irrational world view is something that rational people find even remotely plausible. Huge logic fail.
That is a dangerous statement, sandy.

The basic flaw is that Elderman has proven time and time again that he, himself, is incapable of putting together anything meaningful, sensible or original.

I will concede that he is a Master of Arts when it comes to cutting and pasting though. There is nothing wrong with that if (i) due reference is given to where he has sourced his material, (and possibly he infringes the copyright of several of his references). and then (ii) he draws the relevant conclusions and "leadership" perspectives from his "research."
"someday one of them may see the sense of what you say." I have serious doubts about that sandy, but what concerns me is the venom in some of these responses, do I detect the bigoted cries of a lynch-mob?
If Elderman was, God forbid, babbling inane drivel, his posts wouldn't attract so many answers from so many intelligent people. It's clear that they must see the logic of what he says and are marshalling all their forces in an attempt to discredit him.
@Khandro - No, thats in your imagination. What you do detect is a number of posters challenging religious screed, quote mining, unattributed cut and paste jobs, sanctimonious preachy homilies and the sense the religious who post here seem to have that their faith entitles them to feel morally superior and for everyone else to show automatic deference and respect.
@ Sandy - I think what you are seeing is people refusing to be complacent in the face of the sanctimonious drivel of our resident cut and paste merchant.

And your own stirring of the pot in encouraging a cut and paste troll to continue posting the drivel has not gone unnoticed.

One must suppose, given your support of Eldermans posts, that you buy into all his irrational antiscientific nonsense - that you too reject evolution? You too reject basic physics, chemistry and biology?

It doesn't take much to find the source of his quotes either - if he just would acknowledge his plagiarism.......however, that is the JW way - strip the intelligence out of the candidate to he/she is a shell of their former self and then indoctrinate them with their views of life and religion. It is highly dangerous to the "innocent" at large and, rightly, should be challenged.

I suspect that, when he found the AB site, he thought that he would have an easy "ride" on here......

Your last six words, Khandro, are somewhat extreme in their positioning and where is the evidence? Also bearing in mind that Elderman has been copying his rants onto other threads outside R&S, some of which the Ed has removed. This, as you know, is in contravention of Site Rules.
Sandy, there is no logic in Eldermans posts. Logic is a bit like a chain, one link missing and it is as useful as a condom in a nunnery.(a devout one that is).
Khandro, the only venom and bigotry that I have seen in R&S comes from the religious faction. I would however be delighted to see some examples of venom and bigotry coming from those of an atheistic persuasion. There is no hurry though, do be thorough.
I confess that I don't actually read any of his posts. My attention span isn't what it was. But, in drawing so many opponents out of the woodwork, he must be doing something right.
@Sandy - just what I thought. You post to encourage a zealot who posts in favour of religion, blind, according to you, to what he actually posts.

So, your posts should be considered mischief making then? Or just blind faith in a fellow traveller?

Whats draws so many to Eldermans posts is not some sort of vague sense of underlying rightness - more a desire to challenge a zealot posting irrational screed.
I bet Elderman doesn't even know God's surname!
What worries me is not so much the material that E-man and co. put out here, where most folk can see his kind for what they are. Its the specious and pseudo spiel they feed to the gullible and vulnerable.

Of the hundred or so that have knocked at my door, only one ever quoted from the four gospels.
I suppose we should be thankful for small mercies; that there are no evangelistic atheists doorstepping people.

Please don’t feel sorry for me. Yes, maybe I do copy & paste some things. But I am certainly not infringing any copyright laws because they don't come from any sites. The Bible is God’s Word and it says things far better than I can say them.

True, Ed has removed some of my posts, but he has removed far more of yours than mine, especially those of DT’s.

The JW's I know do know their Bibles, and I haven’t seen one that doesn’t use it. I know that a lot of people call themselves JWs, and there are a lot of sites that say they are JW sites, but they are not. There is only One official site that I know of.

Another point – if you don’t like what I post – don’t read them or respond. The fact that you respond shows you have interest or guilty conscience – if you have one.

No doubt you will say this is “copy and paste”. Find out which site this comes from if you can!
Well said, Elderman. That's as good an example of speaking truth to power as I've seen in a long time.
