Many persons know about God. They may live in communities where most citizens claim to believe that he exists. But does this mean that they really know God? Well, there is a difference in knowing about the ruler of the country where one lives and in having a personal acquaintance with him. So, too, with knowing God.

Oh I am not nasty, Elderman - after all I am just unwrapping your so-called statements and fiund the majority of them to be prescribed texts that you do not even have the decency to acknowledge.

How much do you really know about God? Are you willing to stake your life on what you know? You are going to have to do so. The nation of Israel was rejected on account of their lack of knowledge, and God feels the same way today about those who reject true knowledge of him. The time is near at hand when “he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God. (2 Thess. 1:8)
God gave us free will did he not? Therefore it is up to us as individuals to choose whether or not we believe in His existence. It is not for others to inflict upon their fellow men their individual beliefs, far too many lives have been lost over the centuries in trying to force one faith upon others whose beliefs were not the same as theirs. Enough is enough. Let those who believe in God do so and those who do not live as they please without you or anyone else stirring up the pot. Simply leave those of us who live by our own moral codes to do so, if you consider us to be lost souls so be it. As that old poem says "therefore be at peace with God whatever you concieve him to be" and to quote the great Dave Allen Goodnight and may your God go with you
