Jesus Christ said: “A good man brings forth good out of the good treasure of his heart.” And: “Where your treasure is, there your hearts will be also.” (Luke 6:45)

Yes these guy is sure in for a shock. I guess they thinks, they he knows better than Bible.

Jesus also said........When you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors. Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.Matthew 24:33-35.

\\Their works of the flesh and their extravagant life-styles are manifest for all to see./
So true goodlife, this extravagant life-style is not for everybody but J W's seem to like it.

//none of the millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses receive a salary for serving God, nor do they look for one. //

Goodlife - I am genuinely interested to know if your church leader/teacher/pastor/minister or whatever is his title, is paid for being in charge and leading services at your church (Kingdom Hall) If not why not? I haven't heard this before about Jehoval Witnesses. Do you think it is biblically wrong in your denomination, and if so where is the bible verse which states this. In our church we pay a full time pastor a salary.
Ann ..... the minions aren't paid but, as with every other deceitful cult, the real leaders live very nicely on 'expenses' - and rely upon good old Goodlife and his gullible chums to fund them - and they do.
Thanks Naomi, I didn't realise that. It was just a genuine question as I was surprised they were not paid an official salary or stipend like other denominations. As with the visiting round doors rules I guess it all counts as gaining their entry into heaven (which we disagree on)
You're welcome. I don't think Goodlife realises it either. ;o)

Incidentally, Goodlife knows he's not going to heaven and happily accepts that. He, along with most other Jehovah's Witnesses, will inherit a perfect earth devoid of anyone who isn't of the same faith. You and I are doomed. ;o)
I think they believe only 144,000 will get into heaven, can't understand how that will be decided. Glad some of us believe other ways. x
//can't understand how that will be decided.//

Read your bible - Revelations.

Oh my! He's got it right, you haven't - you've got it right, he hasn't ... what utter nonsense it all is!
Out of interest Naomi - are you an atheist? I can never quite make my mind up about what you believe or don't (in the nicest possible way) You do know a lot about studying the bible which is why I asked the question. No offence meant, you are entitled to your views. :)

Ann, ask me anything you like - anytime. I'm rarely offended. If a creator exists – which I doubt - I don't believe the God of Abraham was ‘it’. In realistic terms (if that’s possible) that was a weak and ineffectual entity - neither omnipotent nor omniscient – that millions of people, on assumed pain of eternal damnation, are now worshipping. The alleged dire consequences of failing to abide by its wishes aside, would an intelligent, almighty, creator be so personally insecure that it would really need that? I think not. Man created God in his own image.
I don't much care for their propaganda . . . but I like the song.

You know if it’s fun, fine. But it doesn’t need to be fun. Teaching requires a vast range of knowledge, ability, skill, judgment, and understanding—and it requires a thoughtful, caring person at its center, so your, so out of touch Naomi.

Exactly goodlife. That is why the religious make such poor teachers.
Goodlife, why would you assume I'm not a thoughtful, caring person?

And Joshua's Hebrew Hoard would be tried for crimes against humanity.

Goodlife I am very surprised you don't know the answer to my simple basic question. // Gospel writers Matthew , Mark , Luke, and John . would you tell me who they were ? //
If you don't know , why do you constantly quote from their Gospels .

You know you are very poor lot, you have the Bible the same as me ,and you do not understand.

Why, well the tendency to rely on human wisdom. In all other things human wisdom might prevail, but you appear learned in the world’s eyes, peddlers of God’s Word cannot impart the true meaning of the Scriptures.

The Bible is unique. God does things differently from man. And it is not his will that human wisdom should open up his prophetic Word.

And yes,I could go on but what's the point? It will fall on your deaf ears and be instantly rejected since it does not conform to your myopic, blinkered, because that all you got is the world-view. (2 Thess. 2:9-11)

Given that it was written by hundreds to explain the unexplainable at the time is why it is confused - bit like the UKIP manifesto in fact. Nice to see one realist in the Catholic Church (if this statement is true) - maybe the Pope could back it.
