Theland - long long experience of your threads on this section led me to the conclusion some time ago that debating with you is utterly futile.
You ask for others' opinions, but the reality is, you don't want them, because your mind is already made up, and you spend your time either ignoring responses, or tying them in semantic knots over days and days.
My view - although you rarely acknowledge my posts, which is fine, but I will offer it anyway - is that there is no benevolent God, and you are living in fear of nothing.
If I am wrong, he will be kind to me because I have lived as good as life as I can, so I fully expect a place in heaven.
If you are wrong, then neither of us will know or feel anything anyway.
But the difference is - if I am wrong, I will have enjoyed a far less troubled life than you, obsessed as you are with looking for the answers to questions when the answers do not exist.
Instead of wasting my time fretting and wondering and trying to please a nasty and cruel deity which does not exist anyway, I will have really enjoyed my time on earth, and had a great life full of love and laughter, with no fretting and wondering and believing and being found wanting every minute of every day.
To put it simply - whatever is next after this life is going to be the same for both of us - but I will have enjoyed the journey, and you will not.
It's a sad way to live the one life you have, fretting on a maybe - but that's your choice.
Just don't waste anyone's time on here kidding them that you want a debate and a discussion - your mind is made up, and is as closed as a tomb door.
