Right here goes...... I honestly don't want to start a big debate but for all the muslims out here can someone eplain what your religion is all about?
From what i have seen so far it is very oppressive very negative and also very dogmatic in the way you live your life.

anyone wanna try and change my media influenced views on muslim culture?

and please no-one start raving on about how bad all muslims are- they cant all be bad so i just want someone to explain to me on an unhostile thread what they're all about.

Figure and Quinlad Thank you.

Keyplus Love is the greatest thing in this world. Love transcends death.
Jack How's your son?

Sorry to go off the subject or a moment everyone, but I don't meet up with Jack very often.
A pleasure.

I like your debating technique. It's cute.
Cute? Not sure everyone would agree with that, but thanks. You've got me blushing. :o)
Cute as in shrewd. :-)

That sounded patronising of me.
Pray tell, quinlad, why you think naomi24's debating technique is shrewd? More like argue, argue and argue until your opponent can stand no more if you ask me. Has this thread done anything except be a playground for the author's amusement? - sorry but I do not think so.
Ah, I see. Whichever way it was meant, I didn't see it as patronising, so thanks again.
Catron In my experience it takes two, or more, to argue.

Are you going to answer the author's question, or have you just come back to criticise others again?
Yes, it does take more than one to argue - but you just do not know when it is time to stop, naomi24.

This question has been more than done to death - what use would my answering the author's question be when I am not a Muslim? None.
Catron, it's just verbal jousting.

No-one - surely - ever reaches sensible conclusions based on these debates.

In fact, anyone who comes on AB to form an opinion on a contentious subject needs their head examining. It's the most reactionary mob going.

It'd be like trying to learn about baseball by watching Abbot & Costello doing 'Who's on first?'.

Think of it as enertainment.
Le chat My first language is not English, it is Urdu. You could have very easily asked Naomi about that, as since I told her that English was not my first language. She has started picking on my mistakes whenever she cant find anything else to disagree with. Now you see in a minute she would say something again. Naomi you read my sentence wrong again. I did not say death is the GREATEST THING in the world. I said death is the biggest Reality which no one can deny.
Quinlad, I agree totally - but it's not just entertainment to quite a few on this thread and that alarms me.
Catron Oh dear, you're still smarting from our last encounter. Even so, you still want people to stop talking because you think they should. Well, sorry, but that isn't going to happen.

Keyplus Of course I'll say something again, because you know I'm on AB right now. You're lying yet again aren't you, Keyplus. I have never picked you up on your language - ever - and you know it. And there you go again. The minute you think you have an ally who will help you dig at Naomi, back you come whining.
What are you trying for? The sympathy vote?

OK, let me rephrase my previous answer. Love is the biggest reality in this world, since love transcends death.
I wish this thread would end personally but, as it shows no sign of doing so......

Keyplus90 - death is not more powerful than life and so cannot be the biggest reality.
Few people die even before coming to this world, so they never had life in this world, but whoever is in this world has to die one day.

Naomi - I am not denying from love, but love you can not prove, for love you have to have an unseen Faith, which of course you do not have. Death is there you can see it.
Still smarting, naomi24? You may wish that to be the case but it isn't - sorry! ROFLMAO. I could not care less whether you wish to continue arguing until you are blue in the face - but I am saying that you do argue and will continue arguing until you have the last word, whether or not there is any further purpose in it. Are you really gaining from all of this? You and keyplus90 could conceivably continue this ad infinitum but you will never ever get close to the others viewpoint. If this is really entertainment for you, as it is for quinlad, then OK, you are welcome to it but it doesn't look as though you are enjoying this much from some of the things you have said.

Catron When this thread ends, others will start, and no doubt some of them will be just as contentious. There are always disagreements in practically every section of AB. As Quinlad says, it is verbal jousting - and let's face it - it's only AB. There's no reason to fall out with anyone permanently. Since none of us know each other, how can anything be that personal? I don't like using street idioms, but I can't think of anything better to say - so here goes. Chill out man - or woman. :o)
G4S - Its people like you who are making this world difficult, Once before I remember you said "Only good Muslim is the dead Muslim". I will not argue on that as being a Muslim I have Faith that I have to die one day. So I am not afraid. But only thing is that if I say here that only Good Non-Muslim is a dead Non-Muslim. People will call me, Extremist, fanatic and all those words in the dictionary. Double standards again.
Catron Pardon my ignorance, but as much as I don't like using street idioms, I don't understand what ROFLAMO means either, so that sort of thing is pretty much wasted on me.
