I frequently get an error message when trying to send a Gmail, specially if it's replying to one:

"Oops... a server error occurred and your email was not sent. (#007)"

Just over the last month or so, and apparently at random. It won't save these emails as drafts, either.

Anyone know what's happening, or what I might do about it? (I have Hotmail and other email accounts but would prefer to use Gmail.)

There are various suggestions here, including: (a) simply log out of Gmail and log back in again ; (b) clear the cache and cookies from your browser ; and (c) if you're using Internet Explorer, use a different browser https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/2RPrrWUUYzg Perhaps trying each of them might lead you to a solution?

ooh, I have achieved some little steps today already. I haven't tracked down the accountant who's supposed to be doing our tax returns, but I found his boss, who has told him to dedigitate. And I have got through to ABTA to confirm that they're about to refund us for the crusie that we never took (because the shipping line folded).
sounds pretty good to me Jno
Well trump has gone. Deep relief!
Had my nails done yesterday. Had to go to her place where she had a screened off safety area where I just poked my hands through. Wanted deep purple nails but they are almost black. Dont much like them! Not sure what the rules are here now. Nail girl can go to work visiting but we may not mix households . And today we all have to be home by 8pm not that Mr N or I are ever out that late anyway! Managed several loads of washing and it all dried. I shortened some curtains by hand and sorted out all these spare tvs that I have all over the house! Mr N made me a tv shelf for the bedroom and he made two fruit pies. I completely cleaned the villa. Feels so good!
Its chilly now. Ibiza is now riddled with covid . Worse day ever. We are staying put!
Hope you and yours are all keeping safe.
How is Ophelia?
Question Author
Ophelia's doing well, I think the crying is easing off a bit - anyway, they've been talking to a friend with a baby who cries 12 hours a day, so that's made them count their blessings. Jno jnr is now back at work (from home) but that seems to be doing okay, even though he was left holding the baby whie d-i-l went to the town hall to register the birth.

It's quite mild here, a bit blustery but no storm (touch wood). There seems to be a lot of flooding up north though.
Any recommendations for a cordless stick type vacuum? My lidl one has given up the ghost but for €60 it lasted 5 years. I cant afford a posh Dyson or similar!

what a productive day. I suddenly remembered the car needed an MOT (the garage hadn't notified me) but I tookit down and got one without trouble. I suppose it can't have hurt that hospital and Waitrose are the only places I've driven in the last year.

Then I got a tax bill for nearly £2000, and when I asked our accountant how that happened he said "Because your investments earned so much more than expected". So I stopped complaining.

Then I rang up the GP surgery to ask what the procedure for being notified about Covid jabs was and she said "Oh, they've got the vaccine in the hospital down the road, call us on Monday morning and we'll book you a slot."

I feel I'm making progress in life.
sounds like you two have had a good day! hope Shaney and Robi are doing well too.
Evening all
Yes that's very good progress Jno.
I'm happy that the German deli haven't decamped and got a parcel of food today but everything is now eye wateringly more expensive but I can't deprive Mr S of his wurst and herrings etc.
The storm rattled through here pretty quickly overnight but it was still very windy today although bright and sunny. They haven't been so lucky in other places though with all that dreadful flooding.Must be heartbreaking to keep getting flooded out like that continually.

Vacuum cleaners are a minefield Neti. I've got a little stick one that I use for the stairs and crumbs etc.but it's no good for a big clean through. I still use the old corded Miele for that or rather Mr S does and I supervise :) It's a Makita and charges on the power pack that's used for power tools. You were lucky to get five years out of the Lidl one.Ours lasted about six months! Have a look on Amazon.
Otherwise same old here. Hope you're all well .Keep warm.

we've had a helicopter hovering for 10 minute somewhere not far north of us. They've probably spotted someone illegally visiting a friend.
Good day. Talk about windy its horrendous here but I insisted on going out. It was rather refreshing but wore me.out walking back uphill against the wind. Seen a stick electric brush as they called them. It's a Bosch 170€. Mr N is not pleased as he thinks I should be lugging old Henry about daily!!
Asked about covid jab and I am well down the queue. Over 90s first then the 80s and then 70s and so on. We have to wait to be called in. Makes me feel quite young!!
Mr N has been working for thr last couple of weeks ( not allowed really as he could lose his pension if they find out but these jobs were promised before covid) now he's
back under my feet! Oh happy days!!!
Yes jno I took my car out on Tuesday first time in yonks and enjoyed it. I took a wrong turn on the Siesta mountain. And had to come down a very rough and rocky lane but it was ok!
Question Author
we were told to wait until called, neti, but a doctor friend suggested we call the surgery just to see how things were going, so I did. (She'd just been called in herself, though she's under 70, so she knew there was vaccine around locally.)
Shaney the lidl one was helped along. With new filters and several new chargers and in the end Mr N had to make a different charger and alter the stick but the battery is now kaput and not much we can do about it!
Morning all
Picky fiddled about with the Lidl one but couldn't get it going again.
Shame really as it was quite good for a quick vacuum round.
Turned cold again but I much prefer cold and dry to wet and windy.
Not much doing.Same old.I've made a shepherds pie for dinner and that's all the excitement for today.
Hope you're all ok.

Gonna be 2 below tonight and snow. I believe the temperature but am doubtful that there'll be much snow.
saw it thanks Jno

oh phooey, the hospital isn't doing Covid jabs this week (goodness knows why), so back on the waiting list.
I know its unavoidable, you can't give millions of people an appointment all at once, but the waiting ands uncertainty is not helpful...and yes I get don't chase your GP but its human nature to worry about being missed. :(
Heaven knows when we'll get them. Apparently Astra Zenica has not been approved over here yet!
We have a free test on thursday to see who is asymptomatic but the queues will he so long I doubt I can stand there esp after having walked there! The over 65s do have their own queue though!
I have bought a Bosch stick vacuum. The one I originally bought they couldn't find the charger so I am getting a better one tomorrow!
Question Author
neti, apparently AstraZeneca didn't even apply for EU approval until less than two weeks ago, weeks after Britain approved their vaccine. No idea why. Perhaps they knew there were production problems.
Question Author
at least OH has a jab lined up this afternoon, after a direct call from the NHS rather than via the GP. On account of being vulnerable - I never did understand why we were in the same grouping as OH is older and definitely more vulnerable
