I frequently get an error message when trying to send a Gmail, specially if it's replying to one:

"Oops... a server error occurred and your email was not sent. (#007)"

Just over the last month or so, and apparently at random. It won't save these emails as drafts, either.

Anyone know what's happening, or what I might do about it? (I have Hotmail and other email accounts but would prefer to use Gmail.)

There are various suggestions here, including: (a) simply log out of Gmail and log back in again ; (b) clear the cache and cookies from your browser ; and (c) if you're using Internet Explorer, use a different browser https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/2RPrrWUUYzg Perhaps trying each of them might lead you to a solution?

I am vaccinated! Got Astra Zeneca. Even better I did loads of driving through brisk city traffic and roadworks and I, the car, and the locals are all in undamaged condition.

The lovely vaccinator lady said "today we are using Astra Zeneca" as though she was listing the backboard special lunches of the day which made me giggle

well done, woofgang.

Just what is the efficacy of the AZ vaccine (which I also had)? It seems Europeans are queuing up not to have it

https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2021/feb/18/coronavirus-live-news-un-says-130-countries-have-not-received-a-single-vaccine-dose?page=with:block-602e8a718f08bdbed283a907#block-602e8a718f08bdbed283a907

and I'm thinking particularly of us senior citizens. But I can't find any recent statistics about how well it's supposed to work.
well I am damned if I can understand it but here's the research https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3777268
ps my family is an experiment all on its own, two of us had Pfizer and I had AZ
Well spain wont give the AZ to anyone over 55 as they say it hasnt been tested on older people so we arent getting it! They are only looking after us I suppose.

..and well done Woofy. I wont drive if I see another car on the road!!
Good morning all, still alive and chipper and my arm hasn't fallen off. Did I tell you we have no heating or hot water? Fixing man can't get here till wednesday but luckily I have got plug in radiators and a couple of spare large kettles so we will be ok if a bit whiffy.
OH Woofy whiff away ! We have been warned that we will have no electricity tomorrow! But I've done a load of washing today to make up for it!! Its glorious weather at the moment !
Well I will be vaccinated in April.
Yes one sister had Pfizer and the other had AZ!
neti can I ask when you applied?
Applied?. We dont apply. We get told!
Well done Woofy and hope you soon get your plumbing sorted
That's a long wait Neti, mind you I hear this from Germany too.
Various friends of our age haven't been vaccinated yet and don't know when they will be.
I still keep in touch with an 82 year old lady who is a distant cousin of my MiL.We correspond by letter and we phone from time to time as she has no computer etc.and she told me she wouldn't get hers until April.
Not much doing here. Night night.

the unexpected thing is we're heard from rellies in Georgia, the USA one, about 70, who've had both jabs. I think a lot of the problems with vaccines in the USA are down to local conditions, but they've done better than we have (which doesn't surprise me); I've no idea when we'll be called in again.

I've tried reading that paper, thanks, woofgang. but it's a little over my head.
neti I was talking about applied for your passport? My sis has just sent hers off and I was wondering how long processing is taking?
Sorry woofy. It's very quick once they have received the old passport. Mine of course took 9 days to get there ( recorded delivery) but once there I got my new one delivered to my door in about 5 days
gosh that is FAST!
yeah Jno, that paper was over my head too but I managed to pull out of it that older healthy people seemed to get the same amount of protection and non hospitalisation outcomes as the younger ones. Of course they don't test on unhealthy folk of any age.
Question Author
thanks, woofgang. I do have one unhealthy folk living here, who is starting to wonder how and when the second jabs are arranged.
through the GP stream, I think they contact you to make the appointment nearer the time.
