I have a photo that I want to print as a sticker and want to write a logo on the photo, how do I type text onto the photo as the programme will only allow me to type outside the photo,I am using microsoft works task launcher

Use some decent photo-editing software instead. Serif PhotoPlus SE is 100% free, will do what you want, and is widely recommended:
