Electricity In Dubai?
Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Will say nothing about the unbearable heat and the sweating.
Normal day,did the shopping ate brekkie in cafe.
Met gbf and German friend for coffee and we belted out "Dream a little dream of me" then "Tiptoe though the tulips", very enjoyable , then I came home.
Just done the ironing, and mended a back seam on a floaty dress which keeps tearing apart when I sit down, Nooo do NOT say it! I was going to sew a strip of cotton lace to reinforce it as there is lace on the front, but then I cheated and used that iron on Wonder Web instead. My father would be horrified ( he was a master tailor and and everything had to be sewn correctly - huh as If! I think he gave up with me! ) Anyway it appears to be ok so will see if it works when I sit down in it.
Now just tidying the house and hanging out the bathroom towels and mats etc.
Hope you are all ok, you are all very quiet. Jno has an excuse!

Not a bad day here ,sunny on and off.It's certainly much cooler than of late.Not much doing here really.I've poodled about with the brown bin for an hour or so and snipped bits and pulled up some dandies then I sprayed the drive with weedkiller and that's me lot !
Hope the rest of the gang are all ok.

It was only the screen that went west Neti and that was one that Picky gave us.I still had the old one which I thought had had it but obviously not .I swapped them over and it works .It's an old banger but it'll do for now until it really conks then we'll get a new one .

Morning..here I is, I haven't flounced, just floundering a bit. Had a couple of busy days, overdid it and started feeling lousy yesterday. Painful throat, earache, headache etc. Not surprising really, when I went shopping on Thurs people were coughing and snuffling. The assistant in Boots said everyone's got colds. :(

Nice bright day.One of those rare ideal days so far.No rain forecast and just nice temp wise.
Hope you're not going down with anything Robinia.There are summer colds about.
I downloaded them with precise step by step instructions over the phone from Picky Neti and of course I can't remember now.I should have written it down .I had to plug tablet into computer ,click on settings on the tablet and go from there.It's the same with printing from the tablet.He showed me how to do that and I can't remember what he told me ...lol.I've lost the plot .
It's the same old on here Robinia .Brexit ,immigrants,my dad's bigger than your dad stuff,and someone monitoring every answer you post in Q&P :)

It's very watery sunshine here but stonking hot! Hija has to work tonight as it is usually her day off, now,she just gets Fridays. They served 550 covers the other night, it's so popular. And some,folk who,haven't booked wait 4 hrs to be seated, buffer that!
So we are nipping to Ibiza and going to Burger King cos sometimes that is all I want.

Back home . Nightmare. All I wanted was a Burger king, so we drove to Ibiza, parked in huge almost full car park, then Mr N decided to walk round the port, cheesus ! The size of 3 of the mega yachts there, absolutely huge, with helicopters and cars and boats on them. Now much as I hate boats I would feel safe on them as they are cross chanel size. It was so so hot! I honestly thought I was going to peg out I even wore a huge sunhat but should have worn a loose dress instead of cut offs and a t shirt. I didn't realise it was so hot, and,people, don't get me started on people, most of them grockles in vary states of undress. So glad to get in airconned van and get home.
