there were no hostages so why didn't everyone just leave him to it?
had everyone just left, he'd soon have come down once he got bored -and hungry
next time i am a bit peckish and haven't enough cash and if its a lovely evening i may pop up onto my roof and start issuing demands
free meals - wahay
love the washing up liquid idea! how about throwing wet sponges too..ha ha!
Still don't see why they paid to feed him, like has already been said,if he was hungry he should have put his hand in his pocket and paid himself, but then again that probably means the taxpayers would have paid anyway, should have just shot him with a tranquiliser, stuck him on the nearest boat to timbuctoo, and shot him on sight if he was spotted back in the country, wouldn't cost a thing, plenty of volunteers i bet!!!!
How bizarre!! They should have just blocked any access to the roof inside the building and surrounded the building at a safe distance (he can't throw tiles that far) and waited until he got tired and hungry. As stated above, he had no hostages, so he didn't have any bargaining power. They definitely shouldn't have fed him.
