When young savages are attacking emergency services doing their jobs there has to be a serious break down going on. When I was that age it would have been unthinkable.

I know someone who is a mains gas engineer, and they will not go into a certain suburb of a certain town to repair gas mains unless they have a police escort because they are constantly abused, threatened, spat at, have vehicles damaged and tools stolen, so I am not at all surprised by this.

The Royal Mail (or whatever it's called now) stopped deliveries to an estate in Newport. They had to go to the main Post Office to pick their mail up. (after abusing their local PO staff)
How they squealed, the general consensus was the postmen should 'man up' and put up with a bit of abuse.
Not sure how they let them know. Could hardly send a letter, could they?

it's very worrying. Society is crumbling around us. It's very depressing to read the sickness of some in the papers. Makes you want to live a hermit life. I don't know what the answer is.
