I don't even go through a pint a week, but need it in for tea/coffees but most of it gets thrown away. I was thinking of freezing it in an ice cube tray for when needed?

Most places now are selling 4 pints of milk for a £1 or so; it is actually cheaper to buy two 4 pint bottles than one 6 pint. As I am on my own 4 pints is a bit much unless I have cereal every day, but i have got into the habit of freezing it and no problems.

Well I started as of yesterday, it did go yellow as has been stated, but I've not tried it yet - not likely to until next week. It's mainly for my daughter who likes it with her tea- I don't take it at all. Could I pop a frozen ice cube of milk into her cup of hot tea and would this be ok or would it need defrosting? She wouldn't mind if it turned it cold as she always adds cold water to it anyway.
For some reason now milk seems to hav a 14 day code on it ,so if you cannot use one pint of milk in a fortnight I would think you have health problems
Yes, I do it all the time, too! And have done for over 45 years, no ill effects, nobody ever complained about their cuppa. Cheaper than the milkman as can stock up on a supermarket visit (sorry milkmen everywhere but I also resent being waken at 4am every morning when you deliver to my neighbours). Never noticed any problem at all though if you don't think ahead and defrost slowly, the microwave method might over-warm and thus shorten shelf life.
