Hi there. My two year old Weimaraner GSP cross boy has being diagnosed will allergy problems. The main symptom is inflamed ears which then become dirty and sticky. We are working with the vet who is excellent but the steroid tablets which helped at first have stopped being effective at a dose which is acceptable in terms of side effects for the dog. The next stage is to try a topical steroid spray which we will start on monday. We have cleaned up his diet which has helped a lot but not solved the problem. We have also tried
Canaural drops (the thick yellow ones)
Thornit powder
We currently use ear cleaning solution made from boracic and lactic acid to clean his ears (at vets suggestion) plus the steroid tabs and evening primrose oil capsules, again at vet's suggestion.
has anyone else had experience of this and can you make any suggestions please?
He has bare, not hairy ear canals and is as good as gold about the twice daily cleaning and treatment.
thanks

Poor Neti..I'm not exactly miss flat bazooms either .I'm sure you'll find something .I bought a cardi style jumper recently and had to put a safety pin in the bosom area 'cos it gaped .
As for you Woofy ..well....all I've done this morning is roam around Ikea :)
I've been good though and kept my card firmly in my purse !
Hope you are all well .
Still cold and snow laying around here but the sun is out now so hopefully it may thaw a bit more .
I hope your groomer has done a good job Robinia .I expect you've got a really glossy coat by now :)

haha, actually she's done a good job but I'm not going out, it's too damned cold, and I swear having my hair cut saps my strength, I always feel tired after it's done.

There's nothing like a loss in the family to make you start looking up your relatives (so to speak) I think I need to get in touch with my London cousin, by heck, houses for sale on his road are £2.5 million and more...lots of them are converted into flats though.

neti, with your ample shape isn't it easier to buy a top and skirt that look like a dress when they're on?
Ooh Prince Charles is coming to town in a fortnight ..Must polish me tiara :)
ooh, don't forget to cut the crusts off the cucumber sarnies shaney :o)
yes, and Don't Mention The Ears

Hija is cooking a strange meal tomorrow, she has bought Zebra, Kangaroo, and crocodile meats. so will tell you later about them! Exciting, I wonder if we can eat swan over here. Get some for Charles, shaney, he is allowed to eat it I believe.

Freezing here too, so after Law & Order I'm off to my basket .I shall have a hot water bottle too for my aching joints ..Roll on summer .
Keep warm folks .See you tomorrow .
Oight Oight .
Morning all...<mumbles>...me teef are frozen togever and there's an icicle on me nose...minus 6C computer said and even colder tonight! The good news is it's really bright and sunny so it looks lovelier than it feels.
It's bringing in all kinds of wildlife...a fieldfare's just been running with the blackbirds quite up close to the house and yesterday afternoon me & my neighbour were watching a massive flock of either fieldfares or redwings (or possibly both) perched in every tree as far as we could see. The light was poor so against the sky we couldn't make them out clearly enough to identify. It's lovely, we've never had them before.

Really enjoyed Law & order last night shaney, it was a good one and not too complicated for my tired brain.

How many layers can you wear and still be able to walk I wonder...?
I did a spot of throwing out last night - ended up with a whole Sainsbury's bag full of unwanted toiletries - lotions, potions, moisturisers, shampoos, toothpastes etc - that I'd acquired over the years from airlines, accidental overpurchases, ill-advised visits from Santa etc, then bunged in the back of shelves and drawers and forgotten.

There's so much room to move in the bathroom now... I feel so virtuous I may just ascend to heaven.
afternoon all, had to laugh at jno's ascending into heaven!

Well we've had all weather today, snow, hail, rain and sun and freezing (Ok not as freezing as yours but freezing nonetheless)

Big fiesta here as it's Sta Eulalia day tomorrow and carnival next week so people are celebrating already.

Still no desktop computer so still can't do the DTGK crossword, am getting withdrawal symptoms. Its been in menders for a week and they said "oh we can't find the spare part, it's difficult, may have to use 2nd hand bit", OK as long as it works!!

Have put butano fire on full blast.
I see Sta Eulalia is the anti-drought saint, so that would explain the rain, snow and hail.

Hi everybody and good to see you back Lottie. Now just leave everything as it is and you wont have to whizz off again.

I've had a lovely walk this afternoon in the sunshine. I had my new phone on Radio Derby so I missed nothing. Derby didn't score (they made a draw) so I wasn't seen jumping in the air in celebration by anyone going past.
It was a boring draw but never mind it's another point to out total.

Robi I'm just getting few blackbirds back into my garden at last. I've fed them all through the winter but only the sparrows have been coming until last week. I think we're going to have to get wrapped up tonight are we . It'll be about 3 layers for me.
I'm going to a 'bit of a do' for my great nephew's birthday tomorrow. So my Sunday will be a bit different from the norm for a change.

Off for a cuppa now laters 'gaters.
Welcome back lottie...

My verdict on strange meats. I love crocodile, also very fond of kangaroo, the zebra was nice but prefer the other two. All very nice and exciting.
Evening all
Hope you are all well.Still cold here ,still snowy ,but a sunny day.
Nothing doing at Shaneytowers really .Just a bit of tiara polishing :)
Have a nice evening folks, see you later .
