Sorry Ed to post here, its naughty I know but I can't think of another way to do it. I love the new skin on the orangedog forum, but I can't get past the first page and that took 3 attempts to load. I tried the memberlist or click on a name link to people's email but can't open them either

If I don't tell you, you will think that you have been deserted....

Morning all,

Glad your mouth is healing nicely jno.

Don't know what you are moaning about weather wise. It's really nice here. Sunny and warm. In fact, after the hairdressers I am hoping to take Meggie down to the beach and am thinking of packing a picnic.

See you later. Busy day today. Am going to Lidls and Morrisons before hairdresser. Just going to have a quick 10 mins scoot round AB.

xx :o)
Good morning all. It has been pouring since I got up at 6.30. Walked to the paper shop, trying to keep cheerful by thinking of Dylan's quote about the rain, which I'm always on about, so wont repeat it. Don't know what I'm going to do today. Have some washing to get dry which I've done this a.m. on Economy 7. Got to look after me pennies as there are no increases much in this house either. The pension may go up by a few pounds but then the Council Tax does at the same time so therefore no better off.
Hope your mouth is improving, Jno. sounds funny, that sentence, but it's not meant to. I'll send you some of my soup.

Off out now for a walk ~have a good day all~ and Shaney & Mr S thinking about you.
That is beautifully presented soup Jude, croutons as well arranged nicely. You have put me to shame.

I tell you what, apart from a very rare tin of Heinz Tomato Soup I never buy soups nowadays. Nothing tastes as good as homemade!!
Yum jude, soup looks delish although I am not a soup lover.

Just seen the photos of the devasted area caused by the fire. We had all the army here and they all marched back to their ship now, I was very proud of them. Two independant (can't think of the word) assessors (!) have stated that the fire was caused by the hippies as it started near their cave. The Guardia Civil are now involved, and I wouldn't like to be in the hippies bare feet when they get caught! Ibiza has asked the Spanish government for aid in replanting the forests. It's so sad to see the empty beach.

Why won't my printer print my eticket, all it does is the heading??
oh it looks lovely Jude, very posh soup...same for me please but the bowl needs filling a bit more & a doorstep of bread to dunk in it. Ta.

PANTS ON FIRE Lottie!...been having lessons from Vinny have you? He needn't bother saying it's glorious either..

oh and can we all speak proper like wat I do please, it's delicious, not delish...I don't know why but that word makes me shudder...
Oh it looks like neti's on her way with it now. If she's not careful there won't be much of it left...."Two soups...."

managed to get the dogs a good run around without getting soaked this morning, now have new wellies so feet dry too. catching up with the housework today :(
Evening all ,must just say how sorry I am that your Summer has been virtually non-existent ,Mr.D were going to come over in August for 4/5 weeks but various things decreed otherwise -it will be next year now .I am glad in a way because I hate the cold and damp don't like it too hot though either!
Sympathy jno for your sore mouth -thank heavens for dentures I say . Woofy pleased to hear Mr.w good news and hope for quick recovery also Shaney and Mr.S .thoughts and prayers are with you.
I'm glad you're safe Neti and the fires are out .Smokers are a menace near the Bush .
All this talk of food ,made me go and get some strawberries and Neapolitan ice-cream ! supposed to be trying to lose weight ,had no chocolate today though (I can't reach the top shelf in the cupboard where Mr.D. has put it ) Wrote out that recipe for soup ,see if I can get round to doing it ,I don't normally do the cooking .
Met my Thurs. morning Biddy friends today and we went to see an Australian made film called "Matching Jack"about kids with Leukaemia -James Nesbit was in it (from Cold Feet on TV) -a real weepie but good. Had a Choc-top ice cream free too (cinema goers reward) then Lunch then had to go on my Nebuliser when I got home ,having difficulty breathing -stops me walking so I have a little wheelie thing to push .Could do with new lungs ,mine are knackered! Well time for Supper so bye for now and all the best to anyone not mentioned xxx
Bluudy 'ell I've just got back and I've never felt so cold for months....Stood talking to the local PC and was shivering. Had to walk extra fast to warm up Having a chicken in a bit. Not that I'm great at that. Just a jar of Korma sauce. with added chicken. Thanks for the complements. Nice one Robi. How do you add things to pictures? Is it that snipping tool? I've got such a lot of things to thank you biddies for. Gardening, computer techno, digital photography, soup making . what else do I need to know about. Mmmmm let me think:~)
Should read "Mr.D. and I were coming over "!
* chicken curry
HI Dolly, we're both making corrections today:~)

Jude your soup needed more croutons.....
http://web.me.com/she.../Site_3/for_jude.html
Brilliant Woofy, How do you do that?.....
Housework? Well I've flicked a microfibre round and I even did the outside of the front door, I do like a clean entrance...it's all downhill from there tho'.

Awful intit Jude? What were you doing with that PC? Been shoplifting again have ya? You won't be able to blame the menopause for much longer you know. :o)
I use Paint to do those pic things, you can cut a chunk out of one pic & paste it onto another. I daresay there are lots of fancy computer programmes that automatically cut bits out for you, it's not easy tracing round the edge of images with a mouse.

Hi Dolly! Shame you won't be coming up from down under but I doubt this weather would help your breathing. <whispers> Word has it that the beginning of Sept is going to be lovely, it's often the case when the whippersnappers have gone back to school.
Go steady with those wheels :o)
haha, they're not doggy biscuits are they woofy?
Yes Dolly you take care. I still have the film called The Reader to watch. When my fvriend comes back from Tenerife she is going to come round and watch it with me. I don't know if it is sad or not. I hope you manage to come over next year and the weather is good for you then x

Robi I asked the PC if he minded being stopped by Biddies, or did he get bored on his job walking around and he said he didn't mind at all, but he had to say that, didn't he. He did say that he thought that it made a difference with them on the beat. (I put heat then)
They're talking about dexecration to war memorials on the radio. Quite interesting!
*desecration even
Afternoon guys, I found the pumpkin soup ingredients but as I was saying before it's only the ingredients not the recipe as such. I don't know how to treat a pumpkin, you're gonna have to do the research for yourselves. (A blender would have been involved at some stage - unless pumpkin falls completely apart when you cook it.) It's some kind of faux pumpkin that I can't find the English word for, over here it's called Muscat pumpkin. Looks like this http://i34.tinypic.com/20gfteh.jpg Here goes:

muscat pumpkin (?)
coconut milk (not the water that fills the cavity)
garlic
coriander
ginger
lemon
salt
pepper

Doesn't look spectacular but it was marvellous.

So it was a squadron after all, thanks jno. I see their motto was After Me, The Flood. Don't know why I find that funny in relation to the ABer in question, I just do!

Seeing an old friend tonight, I think we'll break it up early but just in case: Good luck for tomorrow Mr S xxx

Soo... you think you like tinned herring, Lottie...? http://www.thelocal.se/28566/20100825/
Well I demand a male PC on my street, we usually have one or two WPC's...actually for the benefit of propective buyers next door they come in groups with riot shields :o)

Better to get some new (& hopefully nice) neighbours than to end up with squatters or a cannabis factory I suppose.
