All I can give you is my sympathy. I had it and know what it is like. I had the operation and believe me it is absolute heaven to get rid of those symptoms. The operation is quite easy and although it is uncomfortable for a time it is worth it. In the meantime, you can only take the tablets and count the days to your operation.
Me again - I found it would ease a bit if I hung my hand over the side of the bed - that of course is only practical when you are in bed. Might work, I know it did for me.

Thanks for that, feel more like hanging myself at the moment!! lol, all suggestions very gratefully received.
If it's so bad and you are willing...give a session of acupuncture a try.

Starby is correct........especially in her 2nd post.

Not sure that acupuncture has much to offer in this advanced stage.

*CT that should say
Perhaps pester the GP to see if they can do anything to get the operation brought forward.
You may be able to relieve the pain slightly if you change your grip on your computer mouse. Try this - it has actually permitted me to cancel my own ct operation.
Get rid of all pads and supports and mouse mats. Place the mouse on the near edge of the table in front of you. Hold it with half your palm and all of your wrist off the edge of the table/desk. Your palm should be touching the table only from the base of the thumb to the base of the little finger. The wrist will be free of any contact. It may feel awkward at first, but, as I say, this new grip has permitted me to live and sleep without the appalling pain I used to have. I may eventually have to have the operation, since my hand and wrist muscles are quite weak, but at least I am not in agony at the moment.
