Good Morning All, Blimey, despite going mad with the shortbread I have gone down two pounds. The only explanation I can give is that everything else that I have eaten must be right. At any rate I don't recommend everybody casting themselves over shortbread. I just happened to remember some being left over from Christmas and once remembered was the beginning...
Well, after a bit of a bad start last week Wendilla, I've actually still managed to lose 1lb :o) I'm going to fully focus this week as I've got rid of (well eaten) all the bad stuff from my cupboards and fridge.
I'm going to try and steer clear of the dessert and pudding area of the canteen Xstitcher. Most of the time they do stuff that I'm not too keen on which is good.
This sounds like a good way to combine chicken and salad. Substitute the mayo with lo fat greek yogurt or Total. You could also throw in anything else that you fancy.
Hello everyone, I'm popping back because I have put on two and a half pounds since reaching my goal weight. I know what foods to eat and what quantities, so what I really need is tips on will power. Anyone have any advice on how to deal with controlling the cravings? :-)
Oh Lordy marijn, if I had the answer to that I would patent it and become a millionaire. I think that the short term way to deal with weak will power is to plan out every morsel that goes into your mouth....meals, snacks etc
What used to work for me in the past was to keep the daily total monitored and have some low cal stuff for hunger craving later in the day if the willpower had failed earlier and you were pushing the daily allowance. Perhaps a veg soup.
Blame this hot weather for that Marijn. I have to be extra good I went to my daughters birthday bbq on Sat and when I saw a photo of myself I nearly died. This has given me the kick start I need to get that stone off and another.I weighed myself on Sunday as I am not going to weigh tomorrow I am doing 2 weeks before I weigh as I know I must be good. After that I will weigh every week but I need to see a good loss to keep me going. I am in the right frame of mind to do it like his. I will still comment on Wednesday.
Thanks Wendilla and Tigger. My sister has been doing the '5 days of eating normally and the 2 days of minimal food' diet. She's lost 10lbs quite quickly and is still going down. I think she needs to stop now as she is 8 and a half stone. I don't think I have the discipline to have 2 'hungry days' a week. Has anyone else tried this?
Good Morning All, I've stayed the same this week......too many bbq meals I suspect with all that oil and meat. I shall now sit down and do a weeks' menu with lots of chicken and fish.
Good luck to you Wendilla. You are definitely a woman on a misson.
I don't trust these off again on again diets where you eat and then starve. They don't promote a healthy eating style and although I imagine one would get a fast loss I would also imagine a fast gain will follow when normal eating resumes.
Look forward to next week Xstitcher you can do it by then . Although I am not weighing today I have no intentions of doing that 5 day thing. It won't work for me. OG if you weighed just once a week you might see a difference but everyone has there own way like what I am doing as I said in about 6 posts back .I feel this will work for me. Worth it to try anything once.
Bar-b-que Sea Bass, with lime and garlic and paprika, it's epic and a nice alternative if you've got people round for a bar-b-que and don't want to nosh down on ribs etc:)
I have never tasted sea bass but have been told it has quite a strong taste. Fish is always good to have on a healthy eating plan. Going Asda today might try some.
It's delicious Wendilla. I have had it at restuarants in Plymouth and it was to die for....no strong taste at all as far as I remember because I wouldn't have liked it.
