Steak & Kidney Pie

I really really fancy a steak & kidney pie. What's the next best thing to home made? Plenty of excuses for not doing my own at the moment! (individual please, not family size....so sad).

Here I is at last! Been busy the last few days getting things sorted that needed it. First I lost a gold earring and had to go to Beaverbrooks to fill out a claim form. Then had to get a police lost property case number. What a palaver. Then I had to get a passport photo taken for my new driving licence and fill that form in. I went to Borrowash where there's a Pharmacist that have a Digital camera machine in the shop which can take your photo and print them and everything for you. I went with a white blouse on and they made me put lilac scarf round my neck because white on a white background wouldn't be allowed. What with all that and watching the tennis and the footie I've hardly had time to do anything else.
I have just caught up with all your posts. Pleased Mr W, is picking up and Hope Mr S is doing alright. And Lottie what are you playing at, falling over and that. Take care of your leg.

I've just had a big choking bout. I was taking my colitis med and I put the tablet in me mouth breathed in and it got stuck in my throat. Luckily it started to melt but it was like course sand and tasted revolting. You're supposed to swallow them whole because they are slow release of something like that.It made me cough for what seemed ages and I have been drinking warm tea hoping that will ease it down quickly. I'm supposed to take 2 but I'm not. I've chucked the other one away. I make sure I take only the right tabs by putting 4 out in the morning. If they're still there at night I know I've forgotten.
Think I'll get off to bed and start from scratch again tomorrow. I'll be putting my Primark Shortie (£4) nightie on lol.
Have a good night everyone See yer later 'gater(s)

I hope everyone's made it through the night (or day, in Dolly's case) without falling out of bed, being attacked in the garden or forgetting to take their memory pills.

Morning ☼
Well my body made it through, not sure about my head, I still feel a bit out of it. My hairdresser told me she fell out of bed on Tues night...she sleeps alone in a double bed, haha. There's either something in the air or the pull of gravity's getting stronger.
Hello Dolly, have you been lurking in the night? Could you go to a hill ...oh no, you probably haven't got any...well stand on the roof then & wave across to my son please? He's gone suspiciously quiet & that's always meant one thing in the past...he's not happy. Hope that's not the case & he's just busy in his new job.
Love the footy, I could happily watch every match if it was like that.

Morning all, have done my replying to Ibiza threads bit. Have done weekly shop. Can you top this. We wanted a lip vaseline stick thingy, so as I couldn't see them I asked and was directed to till no. 1 where they were secreted in a draw. You have to pay here she said, No I said I am in the queue over at the last till (only 2 tills open) where i marido is waiting a a trolleyfull of food. Ok so I went back to stand next to mu marido and the cashier shouted across the store she's got a lip protector - who? said our cashier 2 turns before us , me! I shouted and waved my hand, Ok she said. Then I was putting the food on one end and Mr N was packing it the other end, the lip thingy went through 4th item. , so I packed it. At the end the cashier said she hadn't scanned the lip thingy, I said I'm sure you have cos it was here (after scanning) NO she shouted so I unpacked the bag and took it out and she scanned it (Over 3€). As soon as we had paid I checked the bill and sure enough she had scanned it 2x. By now I was in high dudgeon, and I pointed it out to her, she was most sulky!. The other people in the queue said how bad it was and they are always doing this etc, anyway after a phone call to the supervisor she repaid the money. I cannot believe such a hoohah over a lip vaseline! Do they come under dangerous drugs Act? Mr N of course being very quiet in the corner with the trolley. He did say he would have checked and insisted on getting the money but I'm not too sure!!!
Not at all neti, I've been floating around AB to see if I've missed anything this week.
Good to see another biddy demanding her rights..the local shop assistants visibly shrink when they see me waving a receipt. I'm always pointing out the error of their ways, usually wrongly priced items - on offer on the shelf but not at the till. It may have slipped my mind to point out the reverse on occasion :o)
I've got a Nivvy lip repair & protect stick, I think it's magic, it never seems to get any smaller. Ah, it says 'Made in Germany'...they know how to make things to last.

Evening all ,loved the footy thing jno even Mr.D. came to have alook .Excuse me Robi but my beautiful Brisbane was built on many hills -think it was 7 because there is a suburb called Seven Hills ! I actually live half way up a street which can be quite steep when you're getting to my age ! I love Brisbane for it's hills ,English cities are so flat . Adelaide on the other hand is very flat . I don't know about Perth but it was my Dad's favourite Australian city ( he was here in the Royal Navy during the War ).Your son and family are going to love it here ,apart from Cyclones, floods,Bush fires ,snakes, cockroaches and spiders it's really a lovely Country ! I'll go to the top of our street and wave to him ok
Goodnight all ,cocoa and bedtime ..Don't worry and don't let him think you're worrying Robi ,next thing you'll be flying over for a visit xxxx

oh hi Dolly...I should have done my homework regarding your terrain :o) No, I won't tell him I've been worried, I haven't voiced many opinions at all over the whole event, I just go with the flow these days. Looks like we're a good 10C hotter here than he is over there...I might just have to rub that in, haha. Nite x. Have you got your baby doll(y) on? :o)
