I really really fancy a steak & kidney pie. What's the next best thing to home made? Plenty of excuses for not doing my own at the moment! (individual please, not family size....so sad).

Hi Robinia - hope you are okay & not too lonely - bless.

I don't eat steak & kidney pies (cos I don't like kidney - yuk) but my husband finds Marks & Spencer ones the nearest to home made. Good luck & enjoy! -x-

Tesco do a nice S+K pie. I also keep Fray Bentos pies in too.

Hi, thanks both!  I did think that M & S would get a mention.  Smudge, according to my horoscopes my love life's going to go wild from today so it might be dinners for two soon!!!

Ah Robinia - if it does, I'll come & share the pie with you, as long as you pick the kidney out first!

Yep Marks and Spencers rock! so do the Finest range at Tesco's - I'm getting hungry now!! enjoy!

Neti arrives in high dudgeon (no Kit, it's not a vehicle) I just thwacked you on tother thread robi! You lot have been here since 10.30 and I get my invite 4 (YES 4 HOURS LATER)!!

And anyway, I hate meat pies!! <<< sits in corner with another damned salad >>>
"...in high dudgeon" ha ha ha Neti, was it still the Victorian era when you emigrated? Guess what Neti, I bought some sandals yesterday that would do you proud. I'll post them later, just have to hunt some slow carbs down first.
Oh and I have a confesson to make, I am at this very moment making a meat and potato pie!!!

pffft! well you're still not the last one here are you neti, so shuttit....you can sit in the corner with a cream cracker <the one I found under the settee> and water.

Sorry I didn't answer you yesterday Lottie, I was at the aforementioned birthday bash...my grandson spent the almost whole time on the Wii & the rest of it taking pictures of the washing on the line with my camera. I suppose it must be 'new art' or something. It was a strange do & I my ability to show complete indifference was stretched to the limit, haha (ex family).
Anyway, I was mod-ish rather than 'a' mod & I just loved the music. All we see on the television are the very extremes of past fashions & cultures, mainly in bigger cities and in our town very few were of any extreme style, more sort of -ish. And no one ever, ever danced like they did on TOTP...where the hell did they get them from?
Pi R round !
May the forks be with you, jno;-)

Now then, I go out looking for sensible shoes to place my orthopaedic insoles in and instead I buy these I buy these http://i47.tinypic.com/8vz1pw.jpg... but they are in every other way sensible, they are Rieker and they provide "maximum shock absorption" (a must for anyone who aspires to be a shoe under my smarting foot) so they aren't as unsensible as I'm hoping they look:) Rieker info in general http://www.walkshop.com/store/brand_rieker.asp

Oh I see Vinny - 'bad thumb' is another way of saying please Vinny don't put this in your Black Collection:) Well I made one for you and you can actually put it anywhere you like mwhahahahaha http://i50.tinypic.com/2uhwflw.jpg

"Ollie and Lollie and Polly" that's hysterical Jude:)))

Yes Robi funny wasn't it, the salty sea dog. I was wondering where Peter Sellers would have got such an idea and doing the accent so well and everything and then I remembered he was married to Britt Ekland ha ha ha ha... wonder if she appreciated it... / You bought a CD where somebody called Frog sings a song called Green Door... erm, okaay... ;-)

He didn't get through he was the old guy with white blond hair (assymetrically cut) and goatee. John McCririck said "You're too old" His name is allister. I haven't seen the launch it yet.
