I've just done ping x2 and I am "acceptable" C and then "quite good" B!!

On that one jno I have download speed 2198 kbps and upload speed 364 kbps

What's it all about???

I think it depends on wind direction, neti - if the wind is blowing all the broadbands the other way then it takes longer to download things, plus in summer the megapixels melt a bit.

On your speed test Jno I get 9832 on the download and 460 on the upload is that good or bad....

Don't understand Vin's test. But it says B very good whatever that's all about. Aren't I thick!!

I get about the same download but about 600 upload, Jude... Upload doesn't matter as I don't want to put anything much on the internet except these posts and they are light as a feather. But what all these mean is anyone's guess.

Thanks for you mail Jude :o) I've done a complete scan, took all bloomin day & there were 3 problems that have now been zapped but I doubt they were responsible for any glitch on here. My ping went years ago so I think it's past testing.

Evening all, I'm just throwing a quick lion in as it will only be available till Tuesday (including Tuesday). Good moaning, I see there have been some broadband probs in some area...never had this much bovva before Talk Talk took over...maybe that causes problems on a big site like this, I don't know about these things...anyway it's a bit slow on here but I haven't been ejected....yet!

Good Moring Biddy friends. I've been for my cuppa at my sisters. Done all the housework I'm going to do today. Just going to eat and relax while the weather is good. Then guess what......Ha Ha See yer Vin I'll bring me Baileys. (The flag is flying)

Been to see to Ollie and Lollie and watered the plants. Just tomorrow to go then my friends are back from holiday. They have been to Wales looking at properties to buy. They want to set up holiday lets and need room for their horse. They sound like they have found somewhere but it depends on what they offer I think.

Are you with Talk Talk then Robi. I was considering changing to them but now you're making me think twice. I know I had problems with slow connection in May with Virgin Media but they have given me free broadband for the month. So I couldn't complain about that. So my monthly DD was only £2 odd.

ah well, must start packing for my hols, going on a Rhine cruise tomorrow. Weather looks... hmm, promising, I can say no more. Tragically, I shall miss some of the World Cup, but if I hear a lot of cheering from the river banks I can draw my own conclusiions.
