does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

I attacked my freezer at the beginning of lockdown. Gave up when my fingers turned blue.
My brother is doing alright Neti. He's been doing some gardening and wood turning. He misses my Sil more than ever now though.
Haha ...Mr S is always fishing around in the fridge freezer and the little chest freezer.I know exactly what's in them but I got a suggestion of a notebook or spread sheet recently. It was swiftly rejected :)
I had planned to go for a walk today, especially after discovering Gail's and the chip shop were open again, but instead I have stayed indoors, sorted out who I was insured with (any documents I may have had have vanished), sorted out a problem with an Australian bank, and sorted out a refund from a travel company. I've still got a query to present to Directline but that can wait.

Plus I glued the nose pad back onto my glasses and also pulled up some weeds from the lawn, so that's my exercise. It's been another sunny day, and warmer too. I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

busy busy
Morning each...looks like being a cloudy day but hopefully less windy than of late.
Our chippy opened in the afternoons a week or two ago but one portion of fish and chips would feed the five thousand so I only have some when there's someone to share with.

I'm preparing myself to haggle with BT, my contract ends next week. I'll have to get Tarquin to write a script for me, he's very good at it. The words mongoose and snake spring to mind :)

lol Robi, knock yourself out. Its cold here although bright.
Morning all. Sunny windy and a bit chilly here. Washed all my summer whites, no idea why!
While you are at it Robi can you have a word with my telephone/internet provider! Bill usually 80€ and that's too much but now its €130! Theres no arguing with them here!
I went for a walk down the village and back up again as I feel I should exercise more. Saw friends having coffee but I'm not starting all that yet. Who knows where they have been? Mr N has made to wooden covers for thr aircon outside to muffle to noise and is now making a cake! Not a lot to report here.
Hope you are all ok!
it's nice and warm here too and OH is considering going out and buying some papers, preferably before they're all sold out.

Of course what I call warm is probably when neti thinks is fur coat weather.
Afternoon...still cloudy with sunny spells but the temperature's slowly rising.
Oooh, neti. That's steep!
Contract done, he offered me £5 p month cheaper so I agreed to that without argument. I can approach anyone, ask for deals in shops (on large items, not a tin of srdns :)) etc but I hate haggling on the phone.
I like to give them that 'look' and all the better if I'm taller than they are :)
My back's playing up so no more gardening today. I might go mad and paint each of my nails in a different colour. :)

I have been squashing boxes and tidying the garage. I gave Rab a bit of a brush as well but he doesn't like it so we do a little bit a day
How is Rab ? Is he missing his brother?
Yes Robi I prefer to moan haggle face to face and will do when the internet shop opens. That of course is down to thr language cos however well I speak it, there's always some tech wording that I dont know plus I'm not very good at hearing.
Hija is making a muselman curry. No idea but a muscle man might be interesting!!
It was masman curry and it was way too spicy for two of us but Mr N loves it! Theres rather a lot left so he can enjoy it! He made a sponge cake with yogurt it is delicious. I love a plain sponge cake. Fatter and fatter!!
I had my first bag of chips for two months at lunchtime - mmmm! Civilisation is definitely returning.
Morning all....overcast again, I demand sunshine, tut.
A muscle man curry sounds hot :)

Has it only been two months? It feels much longer now but that's probably because I hadn't seen some family and friends for a week or two before that.

Today I'll be descaling the shower head.
That's all for now.

morning all. Neti Rab (and I) were very tired for about a week afterwards. I know dogs aren't people but he did seem to me to take a big part in looking after his brother. It was very noticeable that they would groom each other more, choose to sleep together each night and so on. We are making changes in what we do and he seems okay although he has his clingy days.
Question Author
Robi, its been since last november for me when Shughy's fits started.
Morning all
Nice and sunny here atm.Hope it stays that way as today's plan is to sit in the garden and read but the best laid plans etc....
Chips? I would love chips with fish from the chippie but they're shut:(
Sainsburys delivery later and that's about as exciting as it gets.
Woofy glad you and Rab are ok!
Great news bit we are getting the first chippie opening here next week. I doubt Mr N will want to use it but hope springs eternal!!
Overcast day and my sky HD box in the bedroom keeps cutting out! Grrr
jno jnr has phoned in from a queue (of cars) outside a gardening cenre. He's still working a four-day week at home but Monday isn't one of them. Mrs jnr is off furlough and back at work, also from home, and feeling a bit queasy in the morning but not actually sick. Our countryside correspondent reports: OMG it's fluff month already, the air is full of cotton wool. And when that's over it will be flying ant time, and then winter.

Lovely day out there. I may leave the house myself.
Question Author
fluff month here too....we have gone from tree pollen to grass pollen to fluff.
