does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

Morning all...oh my giddy aunt, in fact everyone was giddy yesterday in the hellish high winds. It's whipped a lot of new growth twigs off the cherry tree and some very small branches off the robinia but thankfully no major damage.
I did prevent a horrible accident from happening next door though. Fortunately I'd decided to look/nosey out of the back bedroom window and saw the little boy next door playing alone in their garden. Suddenly their big heavy canvas topped metal gazebo, one of those with fancy square corners, lifted up and started rocking badly. He ran towards it and I yelled at him to stop and fetch his mum and dad and as he moved away it lifted right up off the ground, crashed back down, dragged itself along the ground and ended up in a pile of destruction. I almost cried with relief he hadn't been hurt. Sometimes I'm in the right place at the right time. :)

Batten down the hatches, it's till wild out there.

Hello..well nothing much to do so I decided to sunbath. I have Nordic skin apparently and freckly so tanning doesnt happen easily! Ben out her 2½ hrs. Am hot and pink. Wish me luck! Think the summer has arrived

I have been doing pottering about jobs. I did some heavy duty gardening yesterday so that's my excuse.

Mr and Mrs jno jnr have been and gone. He made himself useful by cleaning gutters and hacking down the jungle in an inaccessible (except by climbing over our wall) patio next door. In return his curtains will be sewn up here. She is looking blooming and is expecting at Xmas, so I hope they find room at the inn. It's nice and warm outside though not so sunny, but they didn't want lunch and we were distancing as best we could.

Ah that's nice jno. Hija disappeared last night to San an and will not return until tomorrow. that is some social distancing! I've been laying on the patio yet again and I think there is a hint of a tan coming! It is so boring g but theres not much else we can do . Still taking social distancing seriously. I have to go to town hall tomorrow to reregister us on the padron (census). We've been on it for 31 years but I didnt realise it had to be renewed often! Will need it for Brexit! I am not looking forward to all this Brexit red tape!!!

Isnt Crazy Eyes the best??
When I got to Toen hall and had to wait my turn (and fight off all the marauders who didn't have an appointment!) I found that I didnt need to do it as we are perfectly legal. Well I knew that but everyone here is rabbitti g on about a padron cert which we dont have. Man said we dont need one and we are all ok for Brexit! It is a relief.
I stopped and had a coffee and gbf stopped by but sat 2 mts away. Had a little natter then we went on our way. Just what I needed as feeling a bit stir crazy and we are the lucky ones with land and a pool. Poor aids with onky an apartment and children. Mind you we are in Phase 2 now so pretty much freedom for everyone now.

Uzo Aduba.Brilliant actress.I think she got several awards for it.It's one of the best things I've ever watched.
Justified is a good box set too .It's on Amazon Prime though.It might be on 123 if you search.I watched Boardwalk Empire on there too .Also very good.

that was interesting, I did a trip to Waitrose to stock up on odds and ends and it wasn't very full, no queues. But nooobody was wearing a mask. I usually go at 8am for oldies hour, and that time of the day everyone has a mask.

My Sis went today and she said not many masks in Waitrose (hampshire) She also said she found the mask hot and hers was only a light disposable one. I reckon if we have a hot summer, the folk who have bought the thicker washable masks will rethink.
