does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

too hot for me and too dry for my garden. Been doing on the phone admin today and my brain is revolving. I also accidentally bought a 1.2 kg fillet of beef for 33 quid which can't be bad. On the minus side my petrol mower died and I have had to cough up for a new one.
oh, that's a nuisance, woofgang, having to make big purchases at the moment. I hope it works.

Tesco was all set up, queues outside (but nobody in them), one-way system inside (but nobody observing it). Still, I got stuff I needed, though I didn't bother with the steaks.
Morning all
Another lovely day out there.
That's a pain Woofy.I dread any appliances or machines conking out as things are now.
I shall plonk myself in the garden later. I won't be taking my sandwich out there though.I came in yesterday to get my reading glasses and as I came back to the door I saw a cheeky seagull swoop down and nick it.I suppose it's slim pickings for them atm with no fast food places open.
Here's wishing Mr N a long and happy retirement Neti.
Hope you're all well.
Hello. I was up early and sitting on the steps of our internet provider as they opened but was still 3rd. They have been charging Mr N and I 31€ per month each for games etc on our mobiles onto of everything else! Which we have never signed up for or asked for!! I am incandescent with rage. I have emailed my complaint and they are looking into it!!
Apart from that it is a lovely day. My hair is shoulder length at back and I hate it. Roots have to be done when I can be bothered. Ive bought the colour. I don't think a 76 y o should have roots! The front is rootless and a lovely colour.
Hija just sorted the phones out and am getting a refund! Have also received a lovely plain silver ring with an inscription inside for Mothers Day which was about 4 weeks ago. Still very much appreciated !
Outside the ring it says To my wonderful mummy
And inside it says "Bubsa Luvs ya so much". Sweet!
another long, hot, sunny day. This is supposed to be the best May in 120 years or thereabouts. I went all the way to Regent's Park and strolled around in the sun, especially the rose garden. A few people clustering around on the streets (usually 3-4); lots sitting on the grass but only in pairs or small families. Nobody on the trains, nobody in the stations. I didn't even bother with a mask in the park; I did in the streets and trains but I really needn't have bothered.

Boris has been very lucky with the weather. Imagine how mutinous everyone would have been if they'd been stuck inside out of the rain for a couple of months.
Yes, it's been lovely again. We had a nice surprise today.Picky was in Ipswich for work and he phoned and said to put the kettle on as he had made a detour and was just approaching the roundabout.
So nice to see him in the flesh. We sat in the garden well apart but he couldn't stay long as he had to be back in Norwich by five and he was cutting it fine.
He asked me if I had broken the lockdown as I look as if I've been laying on beach abroad somewhere. I said that I just sit out there and pretend.
That's very sweet of your daughter Neti.
I think and hope people are still being cautious Jno.We don't need a second surge of it and have to scuttle back indoors. Night all.
Hello all. Shaney that's nice to see Picky again. I am envious of your tan! We are actually all going out for brekkie in San Carlos Carlos abiding by the rules of course and to think we did this all before and thought nothing of it!
looks like another perfect day in paradise here. No beaches, but that's okay, I've never swum around Britain, way too cold for me no matter how much blubber I acquire.

That's a lovely gift Neti and Shaney, I am glad you have seen Picky. Too hot and too dry here, I would LOVE some rain.
Best made pans and all that. Car wouldn't start, flat battery as hasnt been used for 3 months so we walked to village and ate there. Then went for long walk to see ducks then came home. Car charged now!
Mr and Mrs jno jnr are dropping by again tomorrow to pick up their newly sewn curtains. That means we have to tidy the house twice in a week, which is a big ask. Also, I'll have to buy more Coke as he doesn't drink alcoholShe's okay with mineral water and cordial.

Mmmm, another tanning day out there, loving it. I can't lie on my front on the lounger, though, so I am only half-baked :-(
Good morning. Snap jno I.am.also half baked. I do try to lay on my front but its not comfy
Although i can see that I've tanned its is not very obvious to anyone else.
Shaney I've just finished with OITNB.I did enjoy it!
Hello all
Another lovely day.I'm half baked as well. I haven't got a lounger, just a chair which I convert into a lounger by putting my feet up on the table:)
Glad you enjoyed it Neti. It's on my watch again list. Better get back out there. This weather is not to be wasted.I keep hoping a handsome waiter will appear bearing a long cool drink but I just get a man with a funny haircut bearing a cup of tea.
Hope you're all well.
Lovely day here but no sunbathing. It boring.Mr N made a lovely roast lamb dinner and hes grown mint so we had mint sauce! He never brings me a cuppa though!!
Ye shaney I may watch OITNB again as I've only at the end realised the difference between Taystee and Cindy!
yet more sunny weather; the jno jnrs have picked up their curtains while carefully avoiding vulnerable parents. Actually, I suppose Mrs jnr's condition is more delicate than ours. He found a box of DVDs hidden under the stairs, so he's taken the ones they want, I've taken a handful, and we'll leave the rest on the fence out front for passers-by to help themselves to.
Good afternoon...as they say up in Derbyshire 'ills it's been grand 'ere.
Noticably more traffic on my road, I don't know about the main roads.

Yes, it's always lovely to see people in the flesh. They won't be showing much flesh after Wednesday though, looks like the temperature's going to drop :( Some rain would be welcome, my grass is turning 50 shades of yellow.

Oh deep joy, I've got a Sainsbury's delivery on Wednesday.
Me waiting for the delivery.... :)

still way too hot and dry here, looking forward to the rain and the coolth.
yes, they're promising me a wet Wednesday afternoon, which will save me a lot of watering; but they were promising storms a couple of weeks ago and there was barely a cloud. I'll believe it when I see it.
