London Museum

I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

I didn't watch The Poison Tree Neti .I read the book ,well ,about half of it ,and it was so dire so I didn't bother with the TV adaptation.

Good Morning Biddyfriends everywhere. Sorry I've not been around for a few days. I've been so busy. Ladies what lunch outings Monday and Tuesday plus hospital appointment and Shopping and visiting rels delivering cards and pressies etc. Another apt this a.m. (wrist) and then again in the morning for update on my cataract. I'm getting a bit 'teed' off with hospital at the mo but next week I don't have to go at all so a bit of a rest. I sat last night and read all you posts but I'm sorry I don't have time to comment on everything just to say hope health wise you are all feeling better and you did give me some laughs on the way. By the way I had a lovely weekend down South. Great meal Sat night in an Italian place called Quattro. Lovely!

Morning all, morning jude, I did wonder where you were but as I have been slightly spaced out I thought I had missed you going somewhere. You seem to be fell of energy, I am jealous! But hope springs eternal!

Have managed to unearth the dehumidifier from under a pile of books and have installed it in hija's room so hopefully that will help the damp, I have it full on, Mr N will come along and turn it to almost off, it just what he does!

Lovely sunny day but very heavy dew this am so my overnight washing isn't yet dry!

Off for a coffee with friends, so will ctch you all later.

Yes I think you may be right with the halifax thing shaney. But I'm not sure how I would feel if my hija suddenly had an affair with a woman, I guess i'd be OK but if I wasn't I certainly wouldn't say anything in public to her. don't really know what I'd think! I'd accept it I think.

Yes neti I'm here, I'm the pile of sticks in the corner! The tiredness from Monday's expedition has hit me today. Sorry to hear about your domestic disaster, that's all you need when you don't feel 100%. Try not to let it get to you, these things are sent to try us.
Same goes for you woofy, hope you feel better soon. My immune system is very slow...I probably don't catch more than other people, I just hang on to it longer. Any virus and I know I'm going to be looking at at least two weeks.

I agree about Last Tango shaney, she's a very bossy, opinionated woman (but funny sometimes) and he might think twice. I wouldn't care what my offspring's sexual preferences were just as long as they knew what they wanted and treated others well. It seems my two are decided then ...assuming they don't have a mid life crisis of course. :)

morning all and thank you for the good wishes, as I said, I hadn't had so much as a sniffle for the last 4 years so something had to give at some point. I am sure I'll be bouncing back by the end of tomorrow. Jude you sound like you are having a good time, you seemed so shaken after your fall, its lovely that you are back to normal.
Neti, it always seems to happen round christmas doesn't it, the dehumidifier should sort it out. Greetings to everyone else, I have stuffed myself with berocca and paracetamol and am going to close my eyes for a while, once the meds have kicked in, I'll get on with the work.

Poor woofy just when you don't need it.

I usually get a cold (which I make out is man flu) but nothing like this which is why I don't have the flu jab!

Still very snotty but feeling heaps better (No not jude's type of heaps!!)

Cannot find my belen anywhere, that is the creche, nativity scene, no idea where it can have gone, so have bought another stable (on offer 2€) and will have to replace the Holy Family tomorrow!

May well be getting my new laptop tonight, actually am dreading this Windows 8, woofy do you think I'll be able to manage it?

Well that is the one, but we do not have the pooing figure , I was shocked and horrified when hija first brought home a piccy of it to colour!! the caganer!

yes you will manage windows 8 easily, its very different from 7 but not difficult. If you find you don't like it, then you can revert to the windows 7 interface, someone posted on here how to do it but i can't find the post, ask in tech and someone will tell you. I have macs so don't keep up with windows stuff but i have got windows 8 running on the big mac in a virtual machine which is a thing that macs a bit of the mac think its a windows machine so you can run windows programs.
I am swilling fruit tea made from lidl granules, its the same kind of thing as those hot flu drinks but no meds and no sweeteners, you add your own and take paracetamol with it.

I stir blackcurrant jam into hot water to make a comforting drink then as you say take my own meds! Mum used to do this when we were kids.

Yay Christmas has come early, am now using my Sony Vaio, it sorts of talks me through it itself, gawd only knows how I've got this far, loving it, so made Mr N open his present from me, it's a morphy richards soup maker, he is rather pleased as he loves soup!

brill neti, I had a vaio before I went mac, of the PC's I reckon they are the best.
Its amazing, I have cleaned, fixed sis' bedroom sorted the mess and all there is left to do is wrap her gifts and finish her card.
I am drinking a canadian whisky sour tonight and its pretty delicious.You put lemon juice in the whisky and ginger and add cocktail cherries so there is vitamin c in there and two of my five a day ha ha
