I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

I've had several 'alternative' xmases so I try not to expect anything ... if it goes without disaster I'm happy with that, it's only a day.
I'm glad you had a good time together with your sons Jude. Did you see Merlin? It's the last one...ever...on xmas eve. :'o(. That's tomorrow, I think
It's a lovely day here..in the words of Craig Revel Horwood 'It's fab-u-lous dahlings'. If this was our weather all winter I'd be thrilled skinny.... skinnier. :)

me neither neti...but I guessed that Louis was more popular anyway. I'd always avoided it like the plague until last year when I enjoyed it for the spectacle, I love the dresses. Apparently other countries have some of them and some are sold off. If you want one they can cost about £1600 up to £5,000! Better contestants this year made it more interesting.
Eactly Lottie, my sentiments exactly.
Have just eaten fish roe (caviartic) on water biscuits, yummy followed by 4 liquorice sweets.
Coughing is getting bad again.
Have changed the bed and cleaned the bathroon and changed all towels and mats. Am back in a clean bed now until we go out! (if we go out!!)

Thank you shaney those pictures are lovely. Yes It´s the big day here (well in the evening) when the spanish all celebrate and eat their special food, lobster, paella and everything else. Kids did not used to have xmas presents so no idea when they open them. Also we celebrate the 3 kings.
Have a lovely time with your family, and tell me what you all eat on Xmas Eve, German style I have no doubt. xx

Turkey is cooking away. Can't see your pictures Shaney as my computer is playing up. Have a wonderful day tomorrow.
We used to celebrate and have our Christmas meal on Christmas Eve because Mr LL was brought up in Germany - but then have our pressies on Christmas Day. The tree never went up until Christmas Eve. And then there was the proper Russian Orthadox celebration on 6 January - Easter was the big day. Today, we just go along with an English Christmas, but don't exactly celebrate as such.
Christmas Eve, Christmas, Russian Christmas Easter used to be loads of food and loads of Vodka!!!

We had Turkey, Stuffing, Roast Potatoes, Roast Parsnips, brussel sprouts with chestnuts, Carrots, cranberry enhanced gravy followed by yummy chocolate thingies from Lidls. We actually sat at the table to eat it in all our finery - in my old black tracky trousers and a scruffy old sweater and Mr LL in his decorating clothes.
See you tomorrow
Oight oight xxx

Just back from our Ibiza trip, didn't see the Belen as didn't know where it was this year. All the stalls were packing up, so we shot through the Vara del Rey in record time, then relaxed in our usual xmas bart and had two drinks, it´s not the same without hija. We then wandered arounded looking for a restaurant as I didn't want to eat in out traditional one, we ate in an American diner, lovley but am stuffed. Just wanted to come home, so think my partying days are over!!!! It's so noice to be back in bed. Oh and I trod in poo before I even got into the car going there and it stank so had to wipe my shoe on grass and anything I could, I didn't take my handbag of course!
