I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

Morning all...Merry Christmas (again)....weather's not very festive, has Santa been? Not opened mine yet.

VINNY! Fantastic to have you here xxx...and what a fabulous video, the gorgeous Rossano Brazzi and you, what more could a girl want on xmas day :) Hope you're coping with the awful floods.

Have a lovely time everyone...the plan is to go to my sister's but I won't be staying late so I might pop in later. x

Hello all
Happy Christmas to you all .
Lovely to see you Vinny ..have a good one and all the best .I hope you're not having to wade through to much water to get to the Becks and the bufferer xxx
I'm wearing my Sarah Lund jumper :0)
I'm wearing Janet Reger animal (faux) fur slippers...a pink floaty scarf...and Shalimar perfume.

....and that's all! :)

Merry Christmas all and a big hello to Vinny. We just had home made american style pancakes, maple syrup and for lunch and before that went for a drive to look at the sea on christmas day.
Laters all its time for the snowdog.
Have just eaten a delicious xmas dinner thanks to Mr N and I have washed up (by hand, no point in using the dishwasher outside!!) Now relaxing with quañity Street and waiting for all the good things to come on TV!
good morning all, dogs have had a lovely walk and are now flaked out. Normality returns!
Good morning, back to normal here for a couple of days. Just had a tremendous rain shower but think it has stopped now.

Well so much on TV last night that I couldn't decide, so in the end I stuck with BBC and saw Midwife, Eastenders, and Royle family (which was a bit stupid), so am now downloading Downton and corrie to watch today.

Hope you had a good day yesterday, we had drinks with friends and then a quiet delicious dinner, and then I came to bed to watch my TV.
♫....Good King Wenceslas looked out...on his cabbage garden....Bumped into a brussels sprout....and said 'I beg your pardon....♫
:)

Morning all... no, I'm not drunk, probably still on a sugar rush from yesterday.
Had a lovely time at my sister's, turkey & all the trimmings, pud etc. There were a lot of people out on the roads, more than we've seen in previous years on xmas day and the fields we passed on the motorway were flooded up to the tops of the fences, it's terrible.

Hope you all had a lovely day and santa brought you some nice pressies. I had lots of things and a chunky amazon voucher so I know what I'll be doing later....a handbag? a hairstyler? a watch? some new binoculars? ....decisions.....
Good afternoon. Just back from the junior LL's. They treated us to a wonderful Christmas. Goose with all the trimmings and loads of titbits and booze all day and all evening. Had the best sleep I had had in ages and son cooked us all bacon sandwiches for a brunch at 11.30am. I am well and truly stuffed - more than any Christmas bird might be!!

Glad you all had good Christmas days and lovely to see you Vinny.

Back soon. Am now heating the house up and going to make yet another cuppa.
Evening all, had a lovely quiet , and Mr N did the dinner again, sort of braised turkey and bubble, lovely it was.

Just watched Downton, well that's it, no need to watch anymore!! :-( saying nuffink in case some of yous haven't seen it yet.

Just bathed and in clean pj's and back in bed waiting to watch corrie and ee, no more blubbing Derek (have gone right off him!!)

Hope you are all OK and having a good time, oh btw I actually ate 2 sprouts yesterday yuk!!
Love Sprouts............... yum, yum.

Oight oight. x
oight oight all sleep toight
Good morning Biddies everywhere xxxxx
I seem to be wedged in the doorway here, I wonder how that happened. And I am supposed to be off to the dentist shortly, with the prospect of more root canal work. Sigh. I hope biddies everywhere had a festive time.
I am trying hard to forget about the dentist today jno. I read some horrific things on the net about infections in upper front teeth. Wish I hadn't been so stupid as to look!!!

Good luck!!
Considering we live on this estate, we saw no signs of them - thank goodness. Although it was a draghunt it still represents what most of the ****** would really want and also shows that fox hunting is all about show and sport rather than controlling foxes.

Morning all...it's a grey day and it sounds like much of the world is back to 'normal' for a couple of days.
I ought to have an amble out really, my hips are seizing up more and more each day. I couldn't get my leg over this morning...(I mean the side of the bath! Behave!)
The only hunting I'll be involved in is the bargain variety.

If any of you fancy a relaxing five minute drive watch this on full screen, it's lovely.....assuming you like sitar music and don't suffer motion sickness :)

ps Good luck with the teef jno!
Good day biddies, have just had coffee with two ex pupils (not moine they were too old) but we remenised (sp I'm getting worse) and they have a true love story, they fell in love at school at 15 and then he moved away so eventually they married other people then they met up a couple of years ago (both divorced) and got married last October.

He did this for her with all the old photos of Ibiza when they were young, I find it so touching.
evening all, dentist has drilled away and removed a bit of gum with a laser (the things modern dentists do) and says the tooth can probably be saved - ie not extracted, but will need another crown. Two more visits needed for it, plus some more for a top tooth that has a similar problem but in this case it looks as if the gum can be sewn back on. Ugh. How festive do I feel.
