I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

Oight Oight Biddies wherever you may be x
hello all, sorry still haven't read back but I looked at the lovely cat pic. I took the dogs out this morning so must be getting better.
Morning all, I do hope ailing biddies feel better today.
Hi, I am feeling a bit better today Neti. Thank you x. My legs feel as if they belong to me and I have a bit more energy - not a lot though!!! It's a lovely day here, but clouding over now. Mr LL assures me that the wind is cold, but I haven't put a foot outside the door. Washing is blowing happily on the line for a change.

Where are the others?
well, I am going to take my legs and my remaining teeth and go to look at the sales. It was sunny and now it isn't, but never mind. It is going to be raining hard tomorrow, so now is my big chance. I hope people's illnesses are in remission.

Hello all
Lovely day here ,bright and sunny which makes a nice change .
I've been a bit down in the dumps with one thing and another but it's no use grumping .
I just wish I could get some proper treatment for my ailments .
Hope you are all are OK .
Very brave of you to brave the sales Jno .I never bother these days unless it's a big ticket item that's been reduced to ten bob :)
Wish we could get together for a long chat and a cuppa Shaney. I know just how you feel. I keep hoping one day I will wake up and feel healthy. Perhaps the spring will bring better health for us both with our various ittisisisisisisisisisisis. Cheer up gal!!

I know what you mean about getting proper treatment. I have sort of given up on doctors, hospitals etc because I think they really don't know what is going on and it's all guessing. Unfortunately getting depressed about it all is 50% of the problem in my opinion.

Must go and get dressed. Have just ordered lots of knitting books off ebay in a sale. Unfortunately, knitting wool is so expensive these days.

I have a heap of ironing to do and guests coming tomorrow. We are all going out for a meal tomorrow night - when I say all, I mean four of us - and then they are staying the night. This means fresh bedlinen and a clean up of upstairs bathroom. Bah humbug!! ;o)

For all biddies who are feeling down:

I never go to the sales either, as over here they are a complete rip off, way too expensive anyway, and if I see something I like normally then I normally buy it! This new computer is driving me crazy, I am sure it isn't working correctly, but how can I tell? It keeps closing and giving me silly messages in Spanish, then the downloaded films start in the middle of a post, urgh, when he's out, I go on the little xp one! he's golfing today (it's a friend's farewell do) I don't feel like joining htem, so am doing snacks for later. Just done some devilled eggs, but keep eating them!

Wonder how Robi is, she is being very quiet, hope she is feeling better. And jude, well one never knows with jude, she's here there and everywhere, love her!
I hate sales - in fact I hate shopping (except on line). Crowds of people make me angry and hot shops in winter are a nightmare.
Never done it lottie, normal shopping is bad enough over there, heated shops, but lovely goods.
I just stick to online for most things except weekly shops of food and necessities, Neti. We do have a new craft/knitting etc. shop in town which is pretty good and has it's own cafe and chairs to sit in etc whilst you browse. That suits me very well. And of course our wonderful garden centre is full of lovely things for gifts and has as amazing restaurant as well (and is only a mile down the road!).

I am still not dressed - so time to wash and put on lounging PJ's!!
not a lot in the sales and the "up to 70% off" tags seem to mean "5% off", so all I bought was a little diary - full price as it isn't next year yet.

But maybe I was looking at the wrong sort of calendar

Yes jno, I already have my 2013 diary, I paid full price 2,50€ as it has full pages so I can write twaddle!!
Thought I would be bored today but have re sorted by wardrobe into sections, ie think jumpers, thick sweatersm blouses, cardies, blue jeans, black jeans, white jeans, black trousers and trouser suits. Now maybe I can find things when I want them! Had a lovely hot bath and am in house track suit. Now cooking sausage rolls in case Mr N wants a nibble when he gets home!
yes I have think jumpers which help me to think!!! d'oh
hello all, yes I think that the fedupness is the worst bit. We went out again today for a drive and coffee and more craft bargains. Its quite a small shop and the owner puts out more reduced stuff as stuff gets sold which is rather fun. I feel a bit more myself every day but am very tired by evening.
I have thinking clothes Neti...
Anyone watching the Antiques roadshow, did you see my bro Ronnie Archer-Morgan giving advice on the warhorse, I am proud of him!.
Take your own advice woofy, rest and do not overdo anything, I feel heaps better.
