We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Wow. What a shower that was. Stair rods! All gone now. At least the garden has had a good dowsing.
Housework day today for me. Ironing cleaning upstairs aand now downstairs to do then I'm done for the day.
Looking forward to the start of the season. (Football as if you didn't guess). ;-)
Hope you've all had a good day, aches and pains at a minimum.

:-( got the squits!
well no wonder, neti, that comes of talking too much high-tech.

Lol Jno! What yer been eating Neti?
she's probably had too many phablets, Jude... they go straight through you, y'know
ha ha you lot. We had stair rods here too. Not forecast at all by the met office, not till after the event. Shughy was a bit worried but not panicky which was excellent.
Nice man was busy today, I now have a plumbed in dishwasher, a connected water butt, outside lights, new loo seats fitted, my new roll of willow withy fencing cut down to the right height and new bolts on my gate. He also knows a man who makes furniture who might be able to make me a desk to fit my space at a price I can afford. It feels cooler tonight too. Its all good.
sis has kindly sent me this, don't know why

Oh that's soooo funny .I've often had to lay on the bed to zip jeans up !!
Oh poor Neti ,you'll have to take an Imodium phablet .You'll soon feel phab again .
The rain held off here and it's still muggy .
Sounds like you've had a good day Woofy .What sort of desk are thinking of getting ?
I've got a dear little davenport desk made from reclaimed wood by someone in Wales who drove it all the way here together with a hall stand, but I can't remember their name .
Nighty nite all ,sleep toight .Hope our Robinia's alroight .

Shaney my desktop computer is in a corner of the living room behind the door. The desk that is there isn't really the right configuration for the space.
I like this and it would fit the space but one of the reviews says that a Mac desktop doesn't fit on there so no point even considering it.

Lol..a davenport wouldn't be any good then .Your computer would slide off !
I like that one in your link though .Really nice .I could soon clutter that up !
I have my little desk in the bedrooom and use it for my stationery stash and writing letters . We've got the main comp desk in the kitchen on one side of the chimney breast .It's seen better days though .It was a cheap and cheerful one from B&Q.
Good morning, I am fine now.

That jeans vid is super, we've all been there, except the rubbing of butter euk!

Our desktop is in the dining room, not that we use it much. This is due to go back to Sony for a free check up and as it is beggaring about I had better call them in soon. It'll be interesting to see if they can find my house.

Mr N still being a martyr to his back, I've told him that laying about on bed/settee will not help, so he is going to try to walk a bit today. My eye is very painful today all gritty, so have washed it with tea, and it has eased.

Not sure if we are going shopping or not, don't suppose his back will take it!

Hope you are all feeling Ok.
morning all. Nice man might come back today to finish off bits or might not so i am up a bit early but its lovely, bright and cool. Dogs have gone back to sleep of course.
I use the desktop for when i want more processing power and a bigger screen, would use it more except the desk is so wrong. Its a pity to have it stuck there doing nothing.
I love that video. Have to say i never did the tight jeans thing when younger but am making up for it now courtesy of marks jeggings, except that ATM I have got a whopper of a mozzie bite in the crook of one knee which makes jeans wearing very uncomfortable so am living in shorts.
Wishing you all a good gurgle free day.
morning all, bright 'n sunny. Yes Jude we had a drop of rain didn't we, and it was thundering and lightning as I looked out towards the north.

Love the video, it might sound daft but I wish that was my problem, I'm looking for pins & belts to hold my jeans up at the moment :( . Everytime I gain some weight along comes another flare up (or worry) and whooosh! it's gone.
Pleased you've recovered quickly neti, I was going to send you a cutting from my tree

Wish I had room in my lav for one of those, I love it.

But poor mr n...yes, he needs to move about, I find this is the best exercise for loosening up...

Morning all
Lovely ,fresh and sunny .The night wasn't too good though .All was calm all was quiet until about 2 am when it suddenly let rip .It sounded as if a hurricane was moving through .Had to get up and shut the windows ,the curtains were nearly horizontal and then down it came .
Then to cap it all I had a bldy fly buzzing round the bedroom divebombing me .Drove me nuts ,but I got the booger in the end with the aid of a can of hairspray and a me tickling stick duster ...lol .
Hope you're all Ok .
nice man has been and gone and also measured up for radiator covers which is my next project.
Lol at the desk Robi. I did go and have a look at my stash in the garage and see if there was anything I could hack to make a desk but no luck.
Robi my oldest sister has your problem, she just cannot get clothes small enough, mind you if she bought food occasionally it may help. She's rather mean in that way! Just as our Dad was.

Woofy why won't your Mac fit on there, is it an oldfashioned style one? we just have a flat screen, with a cable less keyboars, the tower goes on the floor, and speakers at the sides, although ours is a PC:
I love stormy jnights, except a great fear of the 30+ ft tv aeriel on the roof behind us crashing onto the roof, and us!
think I have just bought a 2nd hand plastic sunbed, for 3€, collection on Monday, what a relief that will be to get away from the one I have mended with chicken wire and which is rather hot and painful to lay on now!

Look at this and they blame the Germans!
no tower Neti, the processor bit is in the screen. Its pretty big though and apparently there isn't room between the shelf for the monitor and the next shelf up. I have been furniture rearranging.
